Figuring out "Taeyeon's sound" can be quite a challenge actually. I'm not sure she knows what it is herself. She is a very versatile artist who tries new things all the time. While pop-rock sound is definitely present in her discography, so is pure pop, R'n'B, power ballads, jazzy numbers, EDM, even a bit of rap and heavier rock. She's also known as an OST Queen in Korea. You really never know what you'll get next with her. What's constant though is tastefulness and quality of execution of whatever she attempts. I'd definitely recommend to check out both of her full albums at least (the 3rd should be coming any time now). The "emotional singing" video many people recommend is a bit misleading with its title (personally, I feel higher range is not where her most emotional singing happens) but it's a great way to check out her live belting indeed, something you seem interested in. Just keep in mind that it's not all she has to offer. Taeyeon has a very pleasant and relatable lower mid range and insanely pretty and smooth head voice. Her belts are very effective because she knows how to explode with them at the right moment. A long video with just belting can be a bit tiresome to be honest but that recommended one is still pretty good.

Her vocal power is no joke. That's why she's being idolized by many idols too. By the way, you said "I" was in 2007. To correct you, it's 2015. 2007 was her group debut.

She is a LEGEND, I'm one of her pioneer fans, she's my bias since her group (the legendary girls generation / snsd) debuted in 2007, and I was beyond happy when she debuted solo in 2015 with "I". Her discography is a wide range of diverse music as she is well known to be the queen of diversity. She can nail down almost any concept so when you deep dive into her discography you would enter a world of rollercoaster of emotions. I watched her live on her S' Concert in 2019 and it was one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had. It feels like your heart stops beating and your lungs stops breathing and yet you've never felt more alive... That is the reason Taeyeon is so successful and have a lot of loyal fans, when you listen to her, she can take you into feelings you never knew existed within you. Please consider having a Taeyeon playlist, she's koreas's finest. The thing about Taeyeon is she has the ability to take you into another dimension. Her singing is more of an emotional rollercoaster of storytelling. A lot of vocalist can sing great, yes, but Taeyeon is one of the rare few that pulls you deep. A real gem. A rare talent. 💎 And that "12 emotional singing" video is a sick goosebump. Please have a go at it. The idol of idols, our precious Taeyeon. She saved me from depression.

Maybe u can try searching fancams of her live performances (plenty on YT) which would sound more raw but closer to how it felt listening to her in person.
