Discovering Ulcinj Montenegro - Leg 87 

We made it to Montenegro! Montenegro was never really on our plans but because of the Schengen Visa Rules, we technically had to leave Europe.
Basically, the Schengen Area consists of 27 countries but continues to grow as other countries join. The area has no internal borders and people are free to move between the countries. But you can only stay within the Schengen Area for 90 out of 180 days. So, you'll see us pop over to a few non-Schengen countries to stay within the requirements of the rules.
Montenegro is not part of the Schengen - yet- regardless, it's a beautiful country to visit. Our first stop in Montenegro is Ulcinj...home to a very long beach where Brent can kiteboard, an Old City and wonderful wineries. We'll make this our home base as we travel around the country.
