We have the Discovey HD5-30x56 and the ED-PRS 5-25x56
The most affordable FULL featured scope:
The Discovery HD 5-30x56
At 420$ CAD there is next to nothing in terms of offering for a full featured PRS or ELR scope.
now some companies are able to offer something that shlould get you there. One of them is Discovery with the Discovery HD 5-30x56 with 33 MILs of Elevation, 10 mils per revolution, FFP, a Zero stop. HD glass. It has it all. and on top of that It tracks perfectly. I havent seen an optic at this price that can track as well as this one. on top of that its rated for 338 Lapua magnum.
Now to be clear I dont think the entire brand's lineup are as competitive as this one specifically, I retil 2 of the ones i beleive are a great value for the moeny, this one and the discovery ED-PRS 5-25x56

I have one of these scopes mounted on a Rem 700 long range 26 heavy barrel chambered in 6.5 creedmoor and it does everything I need it to do. I shoot 1k yard on a regular. I dont own any really expensive scopes. Ive shot with other peoples vortex and nightforce scopes and I just cant justify spending 2k+ on a scope. I can usually ahoot under 1 MOA at 1k with my rifles. I do have mueller 8-32x44 on my other 3 1k yard guns but I personally like the Discovery scope better. It does take a little getting used to figuring math in mrad instead of moa.

your optic reviews specifically are very well done, the way you show practical things in real life rather than a target on a QD range is great. all your videos are very well done keep up the great work.

Great review, I have this exact scope coming. I have a new RPR 338 Lapua that I havnt fired yet, and based on several reviews, including this one, this scope is by far the best out there at a very affordable price.

Would love to see you compare LPVOs. I think a shootout between 5 or 6 budget (3-500 USD) models would be a very popular video. I know youre usually focused on PRS stuff, but there's nobody out there doing a good job on LPVO comparisons. You would have the market cornered.

Nice review my friend and 32Mils of adjustment lol is shooting from one Zip Code to another so yes plenty of adjustment. I’ve been looking at Discovery and actually thought they were Rimfire only so thank you. S.F.

Looks like it’s a pretty alright scope. Was thinking about picking this up and putting it on top of a Ruger Gen2 in .308. Bet it would beat the hell out of a cheapo center point from Walmart

Hey brother, nice and complete video👍 Like you I wondered why they they inc included hi rings? Hey just wondering, from the video side shots, it looks like you have more of a mouth weld than a cheek weld on the rifle. With adjustable comb height do you need to raise this or is this just a video tricking me? As a former sniper I know that the cheek weld is so critically important, you probably do too........ Just wondering.
@EpikArms
@EpikArms 3 месяца назад
So having the optic this high up doesn't negatively affect anything (other than looking odd) provided you get a good cheek weld this would be fine. I've asked them to include medium rings and the ones they proposed weren't good quality like the ones included. So I sticked with the high ring option. Now, much later on they have the medium height precision rings that I have on the website. Thanks for watching

I think think that this scope can compare with some scopes which costs 1000usd. This showes to us that Chinese industries are capable of making high end scopes, even better than Discovery!

Heck I've owned so many optics. And the only leupold I've owned is the vx freedom. Also Leopold prices are significantly over most of the other brands, they don't have many ffp 10mil per rev 30 mils of adj at 2000 Cad. They have catered their full featured optics out of most people price ranges,

@@EpikArms the vx3hd is very affordable for what a guy is getting. Yes the vx 4 and vx 5 are insane$. But I found the vx3 to be all the scope needed for hunts to 500. Custom turrets by Leupold free of charge. Can't beat it
