I'm a Michigan fan. Alabama has nothing to be ashamed of. Their program, coaches & players are the best college football has to offer. They had an incredible year, just like every year & they came up short, which doesn't happen often. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Great game. Go Blue!

2 fumbled punts, missed PAT, missed FG and Michigan persevered. UM OL and DL and schemes controlled the game. There was no speed or strength advantage for Bama! Classic game! Hats off to Bama on a great season. Milroe will only get better and better. Just a great athlete! Time for Big 🔵 to go get a natty!

The game was a testimony to what Coach says about "rat poison". They ate the poison that "Michigan was not that good". They may not have been but our guys thought we could walk on the field and win without effort.

We keep giving Coach Saban a pass when some of this is on him. Hiring Rees was an epic fail while failing to hire the coordinator from Washington. Bring back old outdated Kevin Steele whose defense was atrocious at Miami last year. There is a ceiling with Milroe and he can’t be the starter.

(Michigan had 10 tfl, 6 sacks) Bama had 1 n 1 and the sack was the back up QB running out of bounds on a broken play. Michigan is incredible on the lines.

One of the best bowl games I have seen . On the edge of my seat most of the game and I wasn’t sure Michigan could pull out a win , Alabama is always a tough team and making errors on some plays only enhanced the stress level of this game . This was a slugfest between 2 heavyweights and it didn’t disappoint. A game for the ages . Michigan worked hard for this victory and Alabama has nothing to be ashamed about .

It wasn’t the Defenses both teams were out of position acted like they didn’t know where they were, so you tell me what game you watched. Alabama has trouble beating northern teams alway has.

Look at the stat sheet. The score is not indicative of how bad Bama played. The game wasn't really all that close. Michigan did everything they could to give that game away

Actually, the stat sheet says that the game was pretty evenly matched. Bama had more rushing yards. Michigan had about 60 more total yards. Bama won time of possession. Penalties were about even. Turnovers were even. Michigan controlled most of the first half. Bama controlled most of the second half. Both teams shot themselves in the foot multiple times. Michigan was the better team because they came up clutch in the end and made the plays that they needed to win the game.

Both teams made mistakes. Michigan mistakes costed them points. Bama is still a very good team and they’re coached by the best. This was just not Bamas year. Michigan has been impervious to any noise around them. About time the haters give them their “roses”. Go Blue. Bama will be there again at the end next yr.

I have just one question. Did we not have another center? I can't count how many times the ball was under/over snapped. Each time there were potential turnovers. Sabin should have pulled the plug on that guy long ago.

I believe it was overthinking to block much like a receiver dropping a ball to the numbers and thinking about the turn rather than the catch first. I think for Seth it was the want to block to give Jalen more opportunity that became the focus because they were getting beaten up front a lot in that first quarter.

That last drive we had the ball we could of scored poor playing doomed us. Poor coaching and play calling in OT doomed us. You can't convince me that it was a great idea to give it to Milroe on 4th and Goal on the 3-yard line and letting him go up the middle. Saban should have overwrote his OC and said let's try and pass the ball get to the edge and score that way. Not run it up the middle where you got like 9 or 10 guys in the box waiting for you....

Saban said in his press conference that they were running a play as if they were going for a 2 point conversion... even if they was true and he wasn't just covering for his OC you wouldn't run a 2 point conversion by going up the middle even with a good RB when you know Michigan is going to crowd the line of scrimmage and be ready for ANY rushing play. The best way is to fake the run and throw for the edge with your best WR in the exact situation Bama was in. Saban got out coached....

He can work all he wants to but they’re not going to give him the starting job as long as Milroe is healthy. Remember they tried to look for a replacement earlier in the year and our entire offense decided to basically take a shit on the field. I can guarantee you that our offense is not going to progress until we can consistently throw the ball.

Michigan by far didn't play there best game either. Without special teams killing us I think there is no overtime and Michigan wins in regulation. And even then Michigan has not played there best game yet

I am neither a Bama nor a Michigan fan, just a third party with no dog in the fight. The thing is, I don't feel that Milroe is not good enough to be the Alabama starting QB. It seems that the fans like him. However, he is not a very accurate passer, he doesn't stretch the field, and he is run-biased. He will take off with the ball at the slightest amount of pressure instead of escaping the rush and looking downfield to hit a receiver. The biggest plays Alabama had were broken plays with him running the ball. Unless he can change his mentality, teams will load the box, play man on the WRs, and rush the passer. They will not let him escape. Everybody in the stadium knew he was going to run the ball on the last play, and he did. Alabama can win 95% of its games on sheer athleticism and depth advantages. It is a manpower advantage. The problem is the other 5% where that advantage is not there. Those teams can neutralize a guy like Milroe. Just an opinion.

@@Lukas-rw7ok Hi. I know some people took offense to BOB's comments. But maybe he was trying to help the young man by making an honest assessment regarding Milroe's QB future. Let us not forget Terrelle Pryor who played QB at OSU. He was a lot like Milroe is now, a great athlete. But Pryor should have played either WR or TE at OSU, not QB. Pryor eventually transitioned to WR in the NFL and knocked around with several teams. Yes, Pryor made money in the NFL, but his career was so-so considering his athleticism and size.

Didn’t play our best game by far and still almost won. Nothing looked really atrocious to me overall, just not up to par. Although I was waiting for the bad snaps to bite us at a critical time, and that did happen. Milroe is very improved and has a very high ceiling but needs to get some things tightened up. Also Michigan is very good. Overall, compared to my expectations after the USF game, an OT loss in the playoff is a great outcome, relatively speaking. We look strong next year. RTR

Tough one, but Michigan was better. One thing I find interesting is Bama has had the lead in the 4th quarter I think in their last 4 or 5 loses and just couln't finish it out. I'm chosing to look at that as a positive - to me it shows how hard Bama is to beat even when they don't play well.

Defense played fairly well most of the game. But that last drive was atrocious. After the 4th and 2, BAMA needed to take a TO and regroup. Kickers were awesome. Michigan was very lucky on the muffed punt at the end of the game. Was really disappointed with the decisions to pass three times in a row when we got the 5 yard penalty at the Michigan 30 and then after the swing pass to Jase on the last drive. We were running well and no reason not to be running in both situations. Feels like wasted opportunity. Similar to two years of Tua and two years of Bryce with no national title.

We'd been guilty of not running when it was working, all year long. And those bad snaps all season were bound to eventually help lead to a defeat. But I still love my Tide and congratulation them for what they accomplish this year.

I’m in Alabama Fan living in the Dallas area, I was born in Mobile my dad and his dad were born there. I lost my dad in April so this season meant a lot to me not being able to watch Alabama play with my dad! And when they lost, it was very crushing for me, I have been a faithful Fan for 40+ years and when they lose I feel like I lose! I’m done with this Milroe running quarterback that can’t read defenses and throw the ball to our playmaker. Shit! Start Julian saying on game one in 2024.

Continuous coaching staff problem.. Hiring less than efficient , consistent offensive coordinators! No matter how talented our athletes are , coaches are inefficient..

Most Georgia fans haven't complained about injuries in the SEC Championship. They have complained about a conspicuous absence of play review by the officials. And they have complained about their own team fumbling at their own goal area and committing a pointless penalty which contributes to a missed field goal.

Dang Luke. Cry me a river son. We ain't done yet. Burnip was our MVP and Riechard was right there. This dynasty is still in good shape. Milroe has been masked by the staff all year. I would have loved to see Justice get a few carries late in the game. If I had to gauge our performance it will be a 5 on a 1-10 scale. To think we went to OT with a 5 performance is pretty dang impressive.

Saban is a great coach. I am not even a Bama fan. The problem is I don't think Saban is involved as much as he use to be in the coaching. He could do that when he had Kirby and Lane. But the coaching staff now. Saban will have to be more involved again.

As the Michigan fan, I am not gonna say anything obnoxious as the Alabama fans dead for the last 30 days. All I heard was Michigan has not played anybody Michigan is a bunch of cheaters how great Nick Saban is as a coach etc. etc. etc. it was a great game to watch and I didn’t know who was gonna win up until the very last moments in overtime. Go blue! Hats off to both teams.

Well don't humble brag to me about it like you are respectful of something Michigan didn't beat Alabama last night it was poor coaching a stupid Center who doesn't know how to snap the ball right even after a whole year of playing and even 30 days to prepare for 1 game. Bama had many chances to put this game away and because of poor lackluster coaching and call playing we lost. Don't exactly to be a national championship team that now belongs to the people over in Washington. The only way Washington loses is if they get their signals stolen by Michigan the week before the national championship game is played 😂😂😒.....

If it's any consolation to Alabama fans, had Michigan's special teams not made so may bone-headed mistakes, the score would've been even higher in favor of Michigan. At no time during all the games leading up to this one did the special teams have so many blunders as they did in the Rose Bowl. On another note, just the thought of Alabama and their football team sends shivers down the backs of every college football team in the country ... that's the type of respect for Alabama they have. Next year, Alabama will again have a top-ten team and will be beating the daylights out of every opponent. Good game, Tide. Go Blue!

Reese had a horrible game plan. 4 verts with no outlets into a blitz? No short passes beyond the line of scrimmage, Center having snap troubles again. Defense played great, holding them to 20 in regulation is fine. We just needed to score more

Alabama’s arrogance coming into this game is what cost them. They thought they were just going to stroll in like any normal Tuesday afternoon and walk away with the W. Michigan came to play. End of story. I’m also glad Michigan had go through Bama to get there, because now no one can say they didn’t get there through the “best team” in the SEC.

I dont think any realistic fan was not worried about Michigan. I thought Alabama could beat them but every team in this playoff was good enough to beat each other. It was a sloppy game by both teams but when it got to overtime I was never confident we could win it. This team overachieved wil be more talented next year.

Seth McLaughlin needs to go, he single handily lost the game for us. Jalen not being able to trust his snap rattled our offense tremendously. Then he had to play second base to catch those low snaps. That was the key to bama losing right there center snap exchange. RTR

Im not nearly as mad or depressed about this loss. Bama fans are spoiled. How many people even thought they would get this far? The run Saban went on from 2009 to 2020 will not be duplicated. Bama has been the playoffs in 2021 and 2023.

To be fair to your center… center is a hard position to play… to be unfair, snapping the ball is the easiest part of playing that position. It’s gotta be a mental thing for him, though… cause it’s not that hard to be accurate with a snap, it’s hard to be accurate and still get in a position to block the lineman or linebacker coming at you with bad intentions… but it’s pretty clear that even the bad snaps didn’t help him hold up in pass protection.

I get being upset at the loss but most of these whiney fans are soft. Bama could have won if they played better. They just didn't so they didn't. It wasn't that Michigan was so much better. They made mistake too just not as many and not at key moments. As Jimmy pointed out there where multiple key plays that could have changed the direction of the game in Bama's favor but those plays did not go our way. Unlike a lot a people who are fine with blaming Milroe but are bending over backwards to give Seth a pass I have no issue blaming his bad snaps for hurting the team significantly. Several times this year promising drives stalled when Seth started launching worm burners. People love blaming the QB for mistakes because they touch the ball every play but so does the Center. The worst part is he was likely our best option as a whole at the position, which is why suffered through his issues. 12 - 2 is disappointing when you were one game away from playing for a championship but acting like the program is in free fall is a bit dramatic. Until we aren't having double digit win seasons we are still a contender.

This was a chess match game that Bama lost because when Michigan is throwing everything they got at us on from the schematics /playcalling on top of the mental mistakes and bad playcalling from Bama and we still took the lead in the fourth . Michigan is exactly who we thought they was and we let them off the hook. This is a team who's overrated but has a great coaching staff to protect those weaknesses from fully being exploited and our OC did a horrible job protecting our weaknesses and it cost us the game . The defense had Michigan digging to the bottom of the playbook showing they was holding strong but our coverage communication bailed them out with wide open recievers. When the pressure was on and the window was tight Michigan QB almost gave Bama a few opportunities to pick him off but using that pre snap motion not only cause defensive miscommunication it also gave their undersized guys free releases

What is he talking about " just one play"? 1 touchdown in overtime only would have tied it. If Michigan didn't miss that extra point overtime wouldn't have been needed. Michigan also played horrible with the fumbles and so forth.
