The entire Black Parade album is a phenomenal piece of art. I as obsessed with it when it was released and it is still one of my favorite albums.

See I was the exact opposite at first . I was a huge fan of 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge and Bullets so the Black Parade took a bit to hit me . I've played bass in quite a few punk rock bands and my roommate of years was the drummer from Lane Meyer who is also a punk rock band from Jersey . My roommate had known Frank from playing a few shows with Frank's old band Prency Prep I think they were named . I had the awesome opportunity to meet Gerard and Mikey backstage at the Tampa show during the 3 Cheers tour at the Masquerade in Ybor city . They were very gracious and when I told Mikey that I was a huge fan he gave me a hug and told I was really sweet . Such a great dude . After the show Gerard took the time to walk out into the venue and sign some stuff for a few kids who we hadn't made leave yet . Big fan of MCR and I love the way they were just so nice and genuine guys . Great memories and I just so wish that smart phones were out at the time 🖤🖤🖤🖤 MCR saves lives

I think your reactions to the actual music is outstanding...you're totally on point with much of your analysis. That being said....you tend to miss an entire layer of the music by ignoring the lyrics. Reacting to a song isn't just admiring the guitar or beat or even the vocals....All of those things are incredibly important and can make the difference between a good song and a great song. But...what invokes the true feel of the song is the lyrics and how they work within the music.

Hi! I love your mcr reactions!! I have been obsessed lately, reliving my teenage angst ;) I can't wait to see them next year on tour. PS: You gotta listen to (if you havent already) cemetary drive and i never told you what i do for a living, great songs! Also, if you dont already know. Revenge is a concept album so the narrative behind it is about a man and women who get murdered, although the women lives the man is sent to hell and makes a deal with the devil that if he collects 1,000 souls for him (the devil) he can be with his love again. Its so crazy creative, love gerard.

Thank you for this reaction! I've been a fan of MCR for 15 years now and even though I think that I know their songs by heart, every nuance, rasps in Gerard's voice and everything, your reactions bring my attention to something new or something that I've forgotten about, thank you! There are three or four songs that I consider absolutely brilliant from them - "Desert Song" is highly underappreciated but it shows Gerard's skills as a vocalist, beautiful raw voice, you should definitely try it! Also "I Never Told You What I Do For a Living" is a masterpiece, again, amazing vocals and original layout of the song. I also recommend "Thank You For the Venom" simply because it's crazy and super energetic, and "All the Angels" - raw unreleased song with beautiful lyrics, I've been listening to it all the time for the last year. Cheers!

"My way home is through you" is one of the B-side songs from Black Parade and it is severely underrated I highly recommend it! if you want something emotional, "Desert Song" is great. Gerard's vocals are something. It's a pretty slow one though!

I would love to hear your thoughts on Antithesis by Daylight Delirium! Newer band, pretty diverse group! Overall, really love the thought that you put into each song! I love how you have the ear to hear the minute details, such as the single guitar strum in this song. That is a major detail and provides an emotionally sad and powerful sound. Loved the video my man!

I met my current girlfriend my sophomore year of high school and only knew some songs from MCR then she introduced me to the first album and ever since then I’ve been hook it’s crazy how underrated the first album is and all their music

I really love this song. Have you heard of the band Palaye Royale yet? I would like to see a reaction to one of their songs. It‘s hard to pick one because I like a lot of them but the most popular ones are Lonely and Mr. Doctor Man.

Another fun fact, Mikey is the reason why this song is on the album. If you do a review or dubbed version of your reaction to “Dead” listen to “The End” that goes into “Dead” -with it being a concept album, the 1st two songs flow into each other, it’s such a sweet transition. The mixing/mastering/engineering: Chris Lord-Alge/Ted Jensen/Doug McKean, all who have made name for themselves, did a great job on this album. The bookend take on this song is lovely and nowadays it is hard to find bands that create music and record it with live takes vs just using a daw to make music or to get it done faster by using a loop. Electronic vs instruments, there’s a difference, I feel and I agree with you with todays music sounding the same and I think having a band vs just a studio is a huge part of that. Nice reaction dude 🤘🏼

When you review the Dead! song, here is a little nugget for you , the guitar solo in Dead! was a small tribute to the cartoon character Woody Woodpecker. And if you don’t know who that is, you will need to search RU-vid for Woody’s laugh and you will understand when you hear the guitar solo.

I find this song actually feels like an ode to some old classic songs. Probably back to the 80s. It does sound corny but because this is an emo parody of an old classic, the harmonies almost sound so parodically (is that even a word) corny that if fits! This gives me the feeling of your peers pissing on your thoughts and opinions but since you don’t outrank or even are under their rank you just gotta take it and push the fuck on still right cause that’s fucking life. Least I’m not alone, this song is proof I’m not. MCR saving fucking lives again

You should probably just start reacting to all of them one by one. I suggest listening to you know what they do to guys like us in prison , and to , give em hell kid. Dead has a flatline in the beginning which is a really nice thing because the somg the end which is the first one has a slow heartbeat that in the next song , dead!, is a flatline because the patient , obviously, dies and thats why usually its suggested to listen back to back. I sure do hope youll be able to fix it id love to see you react to it
