Really? Is that all you know about the situation in Gaza? Here's an illumination if you will : 2006 ; Both the EU and the US push for an election in the occupied Gaza (now free of colonial settlers) and the West Bank (ever increasing settler expansion into areas designated as Palestinian Rule under the Oslo Accords). Results ; Hamas wins Hands Down in Gaza and makes Huge gains in the West Bank. Reaction ; Israel and the US impose a naval blockade of Gaza, starts rationing food into the enclave and begin building a Wall around it's land borders, pinning and confining it's population on purpose into an Open Air Concentration Camp......for the Audacity of voting in Hamas over the inept, thoroughly corrupt and apartheid abetting"Palestinian Authority". So much for the much touted Western style Democracy! When the people in Gaza resist his hypocrisy........they're labeled terrorist and what not. Wake up and smell the coffee....Please!
