Dishwasher Repair - Replacing the Door Switches and Holder Assembly (Whirlpool Part # 99002254) 

Took me a little longer than the video, but came apart and back together just as the video described. Even better, it solved our non-starting problem.

My dishwasher is seems to have a problem with the door sensor telling that it is closed. There is power going to the machine but it turn off a lot and it comes back on if I push the door closed tight. Would doing this repair fix that? Thanks

Another good video you have here. I have a portable Kenmore. It has those electronic buttons. One of them does not work. When I press the "Cancel" button the machine comes on and drains water out like it always has. I'm thinking I will have to replace the entire switch board or I will have to replace the motherboard. Both parts run $140 each and I want to be sure on what part is not working. Even if I have to replace both I'm still saving money because a new Dishwasher like mine is $700.

how do i know if the switches are bad? they smell of burnt plastic and the dishwasher stopped working...thx

What about if you can’t get the door open because the door is locked

Your latch assembly was missing a screw on one side. There should be two screws holding that together. BTW thanks for the video.

Just a few years ago it was $300 cheaper. I was a bit shocked at the price increase.

why not test the old one first? What if that is not the issue?

Horrible job. Wires will not go back on. Im tired of jobs that look like its 5 minutes is now on week two
