Thank you very much for your videos my friend. I used to have the Hydraulic overElectric breakes on my EZ4 and on time I lost one tire in Tennessee mountains and I had a realy bad time because if you loose one hose in any wheel you loose all the brakes on the trailer , after that I change back to electric you loose one wheel you keep 5 breaking. Im no trying to talk against you video bud Im just sharing my experience with you, Bud ...and again thanks a lot for your videos.
Yeah I worry about that exact situation all the time so I try to keep as much spare parts as I can with me in the truck. But thanks for the support brother
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and yes - I agree, disk pad replacement is so easy and you may have solved the biggest complaint about hauling four cars with a dually - the stopping part! The truck will pull the weight no problem and as long as you do not thrash the shit out of it from stop - get go, your transmission should hold out as well.
What year is you chevy? My 2011 feels like I have no trailer brakes at no time. At least with the foot brake. I'm now looking to convert to disc brakes
I have a 2011 Silverado 3500 and I felt the same way when I had drum brakes on the trailer. It’s also way cheaper to maintain the Disc Brakes and then the drum brakes
Whats up brother, thank you for tour videos in advance, I have a kaufmn EZ-4 with the ussual issues you mentioned, what issues you hav found with the disc until now, I heard people say they lost pads and calipers burned and fail the whole system?! What do you think in your experience ? Thanks
I haven’t had any issues with the disc brakes other then the over priced rotors, I let one of my pads get down to the metal once and it damaged a rotor , fortunately I was able to get it cut for $15 and it’s fine but if I had to buy one it was $270 which is ridiculous.
Thats the price for a drum ,so dont feel bad, I replaced 2 months ago, equalizer, bushings, drums the whole brakes and 2 month afet I have 2 drums bad on the side where the magnets slides, and 4 pads on 4 drum but only one of the pads at each drums, I don't undestand how a new systemgets bas so quickly and why only one pad. Brother the stopyourtrailer location its in tampa?
@@davidcandao1 well the guy I ordered the kit from his name is Bill here’s his number (813) 363-4685 I can’t remember where he’s located but I don’t think he’s in Florida
@@davidcandao1 and yeah I get six months out of these disc brakes and I never have to turn up my controller, when I had drums I was going through them like underwear and I was constantly turning up my controller not to mention they were a pain in the ass to change
