A friend of mine, used to build his own buildings out of cardboard. He would go to the grocery stores, where at the front of the entrance to the store they would have Housing & Apartment Magazines for Free. He would use the Front Cover of the Housing Magazine for the front of his cardboard house. One time he even had Opening Garage Doors! Old Timers used to use what they had, but it depends on what you want too.
@@Kens265 Sometimes you can find buildings already put together at Train Shows, or if you know a fellow Ho Train Hobbiest that wants to sell his buildings.
Ken, I see that menard's website has many HO railroad buildings available, you don't need a local store in your area. It would be a benefit if you did have a store, because they have in the past carried additional buildings (some lighted) near the holiday season. However, you might see something you like on their website.
Yea i agree but honestly finding a good company that has fully built and detailed buildings for a decent price is definitely difficult your best bet is used or someone trying to get rid of a bunch of things.
Why don't you raise your table up above your wall socket? Put your stool underneath it. Where your holes are, we'll do a wrap around step. Around it, and then with it higher, you can use that plug underneath to put your plugs in
Some Menards seem to carry a lot of completed buildings, although I make no claim to what scale they are. As we get closer to the holidays, they have even more. I don't know if they have stores located in New England, however.

I think you’re on “track”with the train shows. The “Big E” train show is “big”. With Christmas coming up, smaller shows usually pop up. I know the Albany NY area has a few as I’m sure other areas as well.
I go to train shows every time between Charleston to Hickory and Asheville. By the way Saluda grade was 5% mainline to Asheville but NS shut down the line in early 2000.
