Would you rather want Disney stop being woke and turn things around to be the wholesome animated film studio it used to be, or want Disney to just die and go bankrupt from lazy and woke exitainment because you do not even trust a genuine course-correction if it eventually happened? Either way, I am disgusted by your lack of faith in new good Disney films and shows that are only a distraction from their woke shenanigans. According to MCU: The Story of Marvel Studios, a book approved by Disney, it's our fault that Phases 4 and 5 have done poorly. The book was published last year, and has aged like milk not even before its first anniversary. Secret Invasion, The Marvels, Echo and Madame Web have been trainwrecks. The way Disney and Marvel are handling the situation is on par with trying to put a fire out with petrol.

What Disney and all of its subsidiaries need to understand is that paying customers are under no obligation to give their money to Disney. When a company provides goods or services that have the necessary level of quality and appeal, then a customer will decide to give them money to receive those goods or services. When the paying customers decide that those goods and services are not of sufficient quality and/or appeal, they do not give their money to the company. Basic business model. Insulting your potential customers is a guaranteed way to lose their business and not get their money. It is not an indication of their moral character. Maybe Disney needs to get rid of their extreme activist employees and policies that are not capable of producing quality goods and services and hire competent people. Maybe they should apologize to the people that they have alienated and pushed away.

My favorite memory is my grandparents taking me to see Snow White in the local theater when I was 6. I was in awe. My grandfather who fought in 3 wars made it a point to give me the best childhood possible and took me to every Disney movie in the early 90s. I was Snow every single Halloween. The fact that Disney has turned on the family is absolutely heartbreaking in more ways than one. As a mother now I won’t let my kids anywhere near modern Disney, and it’s something I never thought I would say 10-15 years ago.

It's all projection on their part. Disney ruined the careers of Moses Ingram, Kelly Marie Tran, and many others, by making casting them "controversial" in an industry where perception is reality, all for the virtue signaling points they thought they would get. Imagine if Disney had the foresight to create a stunning 2D-animated Star Wars sequel trilogy. They could use voice actors to bring back beloved characters like Han Solo and incorporate beautifully hand-drawn animation techniques to create a fantastic story that aligns with the expectations of Star Wars fans. Unlike the sequel trilogy, which featured selfish and negative traits for all of the old heroes (except for the female characters), this new trilogy could portray the heroes in a way that is true to their original characterizations.

the consumer doesn't owe the entertainment industry anything. the entertainment industry is a servant to the consumer. If the entertainment industry wants the time and or money from the 90% of the consumers then the entertainment industry has to give the consumer what the consumer wants. and if entertainment industry fails in this is not the consumer's fault. insulting any one has never gotten that person to change their mind, but it will consistently drive the person away.

Also, regarding the 'Evil' of Sailing the High Seas, with many of these streaming companies charging more and more for less quality (Netflix has already been found out to not be giving many customers true HD content, despite charging them for it), combined with films potentially being edited for 'problematic' content, AND being free to remove content that you PAID for, staging a Pirate Raid is becoming more an act of rebellion against tyrants, than just being naughty & wanting something for nothing.

The complaints are about literal bad writing; contradictions to established canon, informed characteristics, a complete absence of set up and pay off, no pacing, no dramatic tempo, most scenes do not advance the story or inform the characters and so serve no purpose, poorly executed ripped off ideas, cringe dialog, nonsensical dialog, and the list goes on.

One concern of mine is companies will take the wrong message from this. Personally I don’t care if stories have female protagonists or gay protagonists or protagonists of color, I care that the stories are well written and something about them is enough of a hook to make me invested. I’m worried their next step will be making straight white male protagonists, because that’s what they think puts butts in seats, but double down on the wokeness and crap writing like they did with Doctor Who.

I used to give things a chance, even if the marketing was all about "empowerment", and "diversity", after all in the past I've loved characters like Worf,Guinan, Ben Sysco, Blade and Buffy the vampire slayer (not to mention faith), Ripley in aliens and so many of Doctor who's female companions, from Ace to Sarah Jane! But each and every time I got the same, misandry, preachy messaging, highly dislikeable characters and destroyed heroes! Now, the moment something looks woke, I walk the other way! Heck, I won't even bother reading or watching something produced after 2017 unless I get a strong recommendation from someone I trust. There's far too much good, classic speculative fiction literature out there to read, for me to want to waste my time reading/watching something from someone who hates me simply for the way I was born! While letting go of Star wars, startrek, and especially Doctor who is a wrench, still it's just honestly the best thing to do for my sanity at this point. As Stephen King said: "Go then, there are other worlds than these!"

I'm so glad people are finally sticking it to Disney. It's one thing for you or me or insiders or ME to know how bad they are but when the normies won't put up with it anymore you know Disney is truly revolting. People said for so very long that Disney was too big to fail. The whole first 2:30 minutes is like an ad. Everything before 2:00 is just the preroll for the adroll.

@@jodargoofmaztica5071 hey, i live in switzerland where it's perfectly legal. our politicians have decided "it should not be required of a regular citizen to be able to distinguish between a legal and illegal download" that's why we are the true "greatest nation in the world" (it might also have something to do with the fact that our economy basically doesn't have any film or software industry to speak of so why should we care when we make all of our money through banks, pharma, chemicals, precision machinery and various services)

To be honest, I haven't watch any Disney movies or shows for the past 2 years, last one being Dr. Strange 2 on Disney+(which is free in Malaysia when subscribed with certain Internet provider), watching videos like this in YT is more enjoyable than watching any of Disney's offering at the moment.
