I mean continuing the show when you make a mistake is part of any normal performance practice, not just Disney on ice people. I play the piano and figure skate. Even though I don't do either as a job, when it's some kind of performance, you don't just stop in the middle of it, even when you fall. Having some bruises as a figure skater is pretty normal :P
Ice skating is seriously difficult and it takes a really talented person to learn how to do it; these people are down an incredible job, staying in character to keep the magic alive for audience members, and sometimes rising their own safety to do so. Thank you, ice skaters, you're doing a fantastic job!
The fact that Merida stomped over to help amused and didn't break character just made it seem like it was part of the show. Y'know big sister helping her toddler brother. Great recovery!
beauty and the beast: first watch: "i dont see any fail.. nothing is wrong with the skating" reads comments (clothing malfunction) second watch: "nothing is wrong with the cape" reads comments again (pants dropping) third watch: "OMG HAHA LMAO"
One time, when I saw this (I was like 8 or something at the time) They were doing a whole Alice in Wonderland "Very Merry Unbirthday"bit, and the Mad Hatter quite literally lost his head. His large hat (which was attached to the wig he was wearing) flew off as he was doing a trick ducking under the table they had set up, exposing the skater's real hair! As that hair came flying across the ice, you could hear the whole crowd empethetically saying "aww..." It was hilarious, and I'll never forget if lol.
What is it with the Beast costume and his pants falling? This also happened on one occasion at the Disney World stage production of Beauty and the Beast.
I took my daughter a couple years back and the demigod thing from Moana fell and with that mad inflatable costume he couldn’t get back up. He was stuck down for ages until another character pulled him up. I was crying laughing 😂😂😂😂

As for the beast, it was like he was half naked. That is not planned, as long as the pants don't hang too low than the skater can still skate. Where's the wardrobe people?
I'd hate to fall on the ice wearing one of those dresses it's bad enough with trousers and jacket on and if you forget your gloves lol would hate to fall over how they dress for the part and get ice burn or to wear a bulky costume I'd be over in a second, would be better to dress them like the characters with make up not actually wearing the costume surely might not look as good but better for safety that way. Also felt bad for the ones who fell at the end of the performance.
Wish someone would recorded the show in Chicago from 2 days ago. There’s a part when they take Olaf’s head off but when they took it off the actor hadn’t bent down to lower their head into the suit yet so the actor head was still out for all the kids to see
Disney demands triple axels and hard/dangerous lifts which can be stuffed up by Olympians, which is why their skaters often mess them up. They look awesome when they work, but Disney has a champagne diet on a beer budget. .... and the rest are down to working with bulky costumes/props
well yeah .. i watch dance moms and when the girls made mistakes she would say if they did that on Broadway or some performance they would get fired...
faith123 I don't think so I mean accidents happen you can practice for hours and days but still accidents happen ... They might get reprimanded but not fired unless it was a constant occurrence
All you people making fun and laughing at people who are giving the best performance multiple times for day on a weekly basis. And all you people do is sit behind your keyboard and laugh cause you guys can't skate all
