I loved staying here... basic hotel on property with some Disney magic... didn't spend much time here because I was in the parks...4 parks in three days... all I could afford but worth every penny
I love how you are so positive Tim, even when you see a big fail like the screens with their error messages. I would have stood there and said "well that's some amateur un-disney s***!"
My favorite memory of this resort is when my family brought a football here, and we played on that massive turf field. Another family joined on the fun we had and it was such a good time. Amazing the things Disney can do!
All Star Movies has the “Secret Menu” it’s has the Burger with a cinnamon roll bun....definitely should go there it’s the least liked out of the all star resorts but my fiancé and I enjoyed it so much!!
The last time I visited Disney World, my family stayed at All Star Sports. Watching this walk through brought back a lot of good memories. Centre Court was a fun area to stay.
Our favorite hotel. The food court has a little bit of everything for picky eaters. Easy to get to all the parks as the buses seem to run very consistently. The rooms are fine for the amount of time we actually spend there. Have stayed at the Polynesian before. Beautiful resort but just can't justify the price for the amount of time we spend at the hotel.
Bread is a bakers favorite secret weapon!!! It helps keep the freshly baked items especially cookies soft and not hard. Instead the bread gets hard while your cookies are still perfect!!! Been do it since I was a little girl!!! Lol maybe they are trying to do the same?? Just a thought lol
Tim one of the greatest things that I have ever done was stumbling across you youtube blogs. Two years ago now. I hope that the next time that I am in Orlando I get to meet you. You are just seem like a wonderful human being. I love your videos and I use your information to help me with my yearly trip to Florida. Thanks Tim for being real!
This was my sons favourite hotel and it was perfect for him. Played with many children. The pools were great. He loved the food. I enjoyed the dinner food better. Much better than lunch options. Perfect for a value.
I really enjoy your tours. After I come home from working late hours watching you and Jenn is so relaxing. And if there are no new vlogs then I go back to to your younger days..what a hoot!! 😎Thanks to the both of you for all your hard work. It is very much appreciated.
Stayed here in December, in the football area. And they had snow machines and made it snow on the football field every night! And had hot cocoa! It was cute!!
Hey Tim, I think that goofy has the cannon to pitch the ball? LOVE your tours so informative and easy viewing. Look forward to your next one.👍🏻. Gives us that excited feeling in our stomach to come back this time with our boys.😃. Thanks for making our choices easier to pick.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
We've just booked to stay 10 nights at All Star Sports! So excited watching this video, plus we know we're going to be spending all day in the park so don't need anything super special. This hotel fits the bill perfectly!
I ,some of my family members and a bus load of friends stayed at the Sports Resort. I truly enjoyed it and it was a great way to get to the amusement park on the bus.
Seeing this video brought back memories of Senior Trip way back in 1999. We played soccer tennis on the tennis court and we stayed in the baseball theme.
Yes Tim and Jen ! I love you guys so much and your RU-vid channel rocks! For the next hotel tour can you go to All Star Movies and talk about the Disney deluxe dining plan and the memory maker! Thank you and good luck on your next adventure!
I am taking a very spontaneous trip at the end of the month- staying here for three nights and going to Disney world for two and a half days! My first time going to Florida- I’m beyond excited!!!
I love hearing you try to talk about sports. I'm the same way, not a sports guy, at all. Hearing you talk about it makes me not feel so weird. At least, not weird by myself.
When me and my family went to Disney world we stayed at all star sports. That football field was the most popular part of the resort a lot of kids playing catch, football and even soccer.
This resort and all star music are our favorite value resorts to stay at. They’re both amazing! We’ve had issues several times at Pop Century and movies (mostly pop though). We want to love them...but just can’t. We are DVC members but my husband and I will quite often stay at a value when it’s just him and I going so we can save our DVC points for when our kids and other family members come and we need more space. We enjoy the all stars. 😊 Thanks for a great video!!
Awesome vlog about all star sports!! The drink holder u show in the gift shop is a beer holder. Well that is what it reminds me of. Have a awesome day! Thank you for all that ya all do
We stayed there May 2017 and had a good time. Food court was fine, pool was good, busses shared a resort only one time while there and the wait time was no longer than when we stayed at POP in 2016. You can certainly tell it's not been renovated in a while but everything was fine with us. We are not poor but even All Star's isn't cheap but it's what's in my budget. I can't imagine paying much more for hotel given how high everything else is. My son had a blast there and that's what counts to me. Oh, I believe that open aera around the pool is for activities they do during the day with the kids and the tie downs is maybe for the inflatable movie screen at night.
The chilli cheese fries are delicious and the best value item on the all star menu ... all store movies main pool is the nicest pool in the all star resorts.
Tim, I don't know if I am telling you something you already know but this time period at Disney starts the Sports Camps and competitions for Cheer Leaders from all over the world, HS Baseball, Basketball, etc. also Conventions for different Industries, the last 3 mentioned I have attended with my wife and daughters and sports I have coached. I always felt this this was the best time of year Jan/Feb to go to Disney, Not to Hot Not to Cold! to do a lot of walking. Also a Bus Driver told me the people from South America and across the Pond are useing this time less crowded and cool (their Summer, Austraila 117 deg. ) to get to Disney. Great info Vlogs!!!
Stayed there in 1995, think we stayed in the American football section. Layout of main building hardly changed. Brought back happy memories of my first stay on property but food court usually much noisier than that!
The can cozy can be used with arizonia teas and some of the taller beer cans. You wouldn't use it for the average can size. It is nice to see that someone makes them.
Me and my husband watch your videos every morning. You help bring all the memories back as we travel to Orlando alot, was hoping one day you would do an All star sports video as this is where I stayed as a child. So thanks so much. P.s we wont be going for a few years as we just had our first baby 2 weeks ago and as we watch you every morning I think he has got used to hearing you, straight when he hears you he stops crying, hahahah. Keep up the great work Tim and Jen. From the UK, Alisa Rob and 2 week old baby Zack :) you guys rock
Thanks for the tour, Tim! We will be staying there this coming Sept., and we can’t wait! They are some of the cheapest rooms; and therefore, not very heavy on the amenities. But, we can’t justify paying twice the amount for a room when that money can go to other activities or dining experiences. We are saving the splurging on pricier rooms for after we move to FL and we visit for a staycation! An FYI for anyone interested, all the handicapped assessable rooms are located in the Surfs Up Bldgs. Have a magical day! 😊
Hi Tim. According to the Disney Food Blog, that Cinnamon Bun Burger is on a Secret Menu at All Stars Movies. You need to ask for the secret menu at the Roxy counter at World Premiere Food Court. Hopefully that menu is still available, but if you do get to try it let us know. I hope to be trying it in 3 weeks time!!! :-D
We had the burger off the “secret menu” at Movies! It’s very cool how they present it. LOVED the burger! Hope you go back and show us what you think :)
My sisters, nephew, and nieces all go to Florida once a year for the cheerleading tournament, my nephew teaches cheerleading and I think at least three of my nieces are in cheerleading, they're the Cheer St. Louis Angels and I couldn't be more proud of them as well as wish them the best for this year's trip :3
The Cinnamon Roll Burger is available at All-Star Movies resort. Head to the World Premiere Food Court, and ask a cast member at the ROXY counter about the secret menu items.
They also use Pop Century (possibly overflow or families of students) for cheer competitions and HS marching bands. I learned that when I stayed there in 2016.
We stayed in September my family and I thought it was great! Very economical for us and all the perks of staying on property. My 2 year old had a blast running up and down the football field. The room was clean and the food to us was pretty good for fast food.
My daughter All Star Cheer gym stays at All Star Sport Resort......imagine a ton of All Star Cheerleaders in one Resort 😂 the parents stay at another resort & when Summit/Worlds is over, the kids can come with their parents. The kids love it, it’s definitely an experience for every kid to remember(especially the younger kids) as Summit/Worlds is like the Super Bowl of All Star Cheerleading where these teams compete against the best of the best from around the world and each team can only attend if they receive a bid!! Thanks for the tour...... we will be there again next May(daughter switched gyms mid season)
Last year in February, I went with a friend who is a DVC member and there was a Cheer leading competition. In the parks we would come across large groups of them with couple of guides and or translators. We started calling them herds due to them moving in large groups like Wildebeest. Stopping and blocking half or more of the walkway. Or what should be a fast service food, having lines taking forever. Still had fun.
Also the menu is viewed through a fun retro viewfinder rather than a regular printed menu. How cool is that? I’d definitely recommend lookng it up, you and jen would love it and it would make a great vlog
The burger is on the “secret” menu at All Star Movies it’s a bacon cheeseburger on a cinnamon roll. My daughter got it and really enjoyed it. Wasn’t to bad got the sweet and savory going on, we would get it again
Great tour! The Donut Burger is on the Secret menu. Disney Food Blog did a segment on the Secret Menu at the All Star Resorts. Apparently there is a code word that you have to say, then a "secret spy" brings out a suitcase filled with clues to order with. Then you get to choose your meal.
Tim, Just to let you know that the resorts offered during the Cheerleading National Championships in Feb are All star, Pop Century, and Caribbean beach resort. If anyone out there is planning their trip and that is centered around the weekend of the 9th of February.
we stayed here in September of 18 and it was very nice only down side is we stayed in the baseball section and it is a long walk to the cafeteria area so if your not a big walker you might want to get a room a little closer to the main hall besides that we liked it and would recommend it.
I think the place with the tie downs is where the movies are shown at night. This has to be one of the most expensive basic hotel I have ever stayed in (traveling from the uk). Saying that we were never there, out in the parks all day. It did the job for a last minute trip.
Hi I looked up a tour of this place and found it I’m happy it was a great video. Thumbs up to you I stayed at this resort when I went on my senior trip we stayed in the basket ball section it was my first time at that resort. I usually stay at the cotempary resort but that’s a nice place I would go back there again to Allstar. My friends made the same joke about basketball when we went. 😁😂😊☺️. I love the magic express bus to it is magical and amazing it is small but any Disney resort is fine I love Disney world.
In regards to the value resorts. I'd rank them...Art of Animation, Pop, Movies, Sports and Music. Having mentioned that the All Star Sports is the one I stayed when my flight from NYC to Orlando took place on Sep. 11 2001...Yup, I flew that morning from NYC too. My point is that the folks at Disney were AWESOME. There quite a back story that goes with this day for me but again, in regards to how Disney treated everyone was great, even at the value resort range. Here some of the things they did that day... - While I had a mobile phone back then it was still rare for folks to have but Disney allowed us to call from the room to our family for as long as we needed to without charge. - They extended our stay a few days longer at no charge (mostly becuase there were a lot of cencellations and we're from NYC and didn't know when we would ever get back), - They got a lot of the characters to play with families at the resort lobby and food court area that night since all the parks closed really early. . Anyway I can answer any questions if you'd like but as for Tim, Good job with another steady cam resort research trip clip :).
We just stayed there at Christmas time with 2 kids (6 & 4) in the tennis area and you were spot in... our kids LOVED to play on the court!!!! The down side was our rom was pretty beat up (broken furniture, sticky floors, etc.). And yes, kids were shooting basketball in that large hoop! All in all I have to wonder if the tennis rooms have yet to be updated!
