Maybe it's because people didn't want 1 dimentional villains anymore, switched it up with misunderstood/broken/twist villains to make something unique, now we want the good 'ol villains back.
@@vikinggamer7727 yeah twist/broken/misunderstood ect villains are really cool but this concept is overused now days and it's usually made to justify a villains action so yeah we need more evil villains that are doing evil just for the hell of it
After Moana was released and new great villains such as Te Ka and Tamatoa despite Hans, Callaghan, Bellwether from previous movies were sucks. Disney now has lack making a villains rather than focused more on main protagonists
@@axe-tq2wn “I aM tHe KiNg I cAn Do WhAtEvEr I wAnT!” He couldn’t even personally take out his own nephew and ordered the hyenas to do it even though he knew they were idiots lol. Frollo never had that level of cowardice except when it came to divine intervention.
@@axe-tq2wn Maybe it’s because I haven’t watched the movie in years, and I never watched Lion Guard for more context, but I never understood why exactly Scar wanted to be king so badly. I mean, it’s not like the animals of the savannah (especially the prey animals) are obligated to bow to him. If he just wanted the respect of the rest of the pride despite his lack of strength, he should have worked to gain it by more honorable means. Or maybe he just despised his brother that much for whatever reason and it overtook him. It nevertheless makes him all the more pathetic in the end-and don’t get me wrong-Frollo is extremely pathetic as well, but in a satisfying way, if that makes sense. Scar’s motivation just never made any sense to me in the first place, which made me care less about him as a villain. He’s got an awesome villain song though. Not as good as In the Dark of the Night but I like rock and roll so I’m biased.
Dude was truly the last of the greats. There were some good ones like Mother Gothel, Lotso, Tamatoa(my personal favorite 😁), and Ernesto De LaCruz. Sure there’s Angelina Jolie Maleficient and Emma Stone Cruella, but despite how great those two were they were live action and became more like antiheroes. So in reality, Dr. Fáciler was the last Extremely good one. Especially since he was voiced by Keith David.
May I suggest, if you enjoy your Disney villains so much, and enjoy their songs also, that you check out Pattycake Production's playlist for "The Villain's Lair". I'm loving what they have done, and getting to see so many of my favourite villain's get more songs is wonderful.

Fun fact: In general, Pete’s the first Disney villain. In movies, it was the Evil Queen. In general, Pete was born before her. Pete used to be a bear before he became a cat
@ELPRIMOOOOO360 By the looks yes, but by the actions Frollo is much more scary because he is a human in power that does terrible things, a person we can meet in real life.
You forgot to include Stromboli, Coachman, Monstro, Honest John and Gideon, Si and Am, Edgar, Kaa, Sykes, Lumpjaw, Mr Winkie, Headless Horseman, Ronno, Hopper, Lotso, Stinky Pete, Charles Muntz, Chick Hicks, Miles, Axlerod, Professor Zunndap, Mrs Bellweather, Prince Mor'du, Percival McLeach, Ratcliffe, Clayton, Firebird and Jack-In-The-Box.
Both young and old. I LOVED the scenery chewing that Glenn Close got to do, and "Cruela" was fun to watch. Unfortunately, the casting of Cruella in Pattycake Production's "The Villain's Lair" series was ... imperfect.
The old villains were doing perfectly and those actors are fantastic nailed all their lines and everything to perfection. There are good ones today but not as many though. Mulan villain, scar, hades, cruella cartoon version, villain notre dam, villain princess frog, rat guy and list goes on as they are my favourites. Don't see any good actors acting as villains anymore. Such a shame

For me personally, Enersto de la Cruz was the last real villian. Sure, a few before him weren't really the best for me, but after Ernesto, they just really didn’t feel downright villany for me.
