As someone with a fear of heights I totally feel this kid. I go to Disney multiple times a year and still have yet to work up the courage to ride EE. He totally did better than I would have.
Mitch Brenner this ride has nothing to do with heights having a fear of heights and rollarcoasters are 2 different things i have a fear of heights and love rollarcoasters
You should ride it it's really fun I was scared of it and didn't go on it until high school. I also have a bit of a fear of heights but I still loved it because it's not as bad as you think
I love this coaster. It's the only Disney coaster where I've seen people getting sick after the ride. I think the backwards G force is what gets them. It made me a little dizzy the first time, but after that you know what to expect and it's fun.
I didn't ride any of the fast rides until my 2nd trip at age 12. That was the best decision I ever made. I was a real whimp back then, and I still am in some respects, so now my limit are any rides that make my legs dangle, I have to be in a proper seat or I won't do it. But....to be honest, nothing beats a good old slow, dark ride. On my first trip, it would usually just be me and my grandparents, while everyone else in the family did their own thing. Let me tell you, It's A Small World saved my little arse!! I believe it was 8 goes in 2 weeks. XD
LOL, am I a bad person for laughing my arse off at this? 🤣🤣🤣 Poor Josh, you poor little mite, I do hope you made it back to Disney World and tried again. Hopefully with time he'll learn to appreciate how awesome these rides are
I was the same way. I was too scared to go on it when I was a kid. And recently I just went on it for the first time as an adult. It is so much and it made me a roller coaster lover! Cant wait to go to Universal and try the coasters there!
This guys remember me my memories when I was young like him. First time in space mountain in Paris from the earth to the moon and I thought we were really going to the moon XD. Just the gueue with open view inside the coaster was so scary for me ! But after the ride I was so different, a big adventure ! Never forget that ! XD
when I was 10 my family pulled me onto this on our first time to Animal Kingdom. I'd seen videos before and KNEW FOR A FACT it went backwards. I tried telling them lots of times but none of them would listen to me. They were all convinced I was mixing up this ride with a different one and didn't know what I was talking about. They believed me AFTER though...haha
@@youllneverknowgorg I knew because of this kid I talked to at summer camp, he said he’d been to Disney World and mentioned a ride through a mountain where you see the yeti and go backwards. At the time I’d never been and thought he was bragging to sound cool…but then we went to animal kingdom and got in line for this ride and I thought HOLY CRAP, this is the ride that kid was talking about. I tried to warn my family but again, they were CONVINCED I was confusing this ride for some other one and wouldn’t listen lol
@@kaylasilverstein4137, honestly, expedition Everest is one of my favorite rides now, and genuinely the fact it goes backwards is something that makes it stand out, because not a lot of Disney rollercoasters are intense and have the thrill expedition Everest does. So I don’t know what they thought you were confusing the ride with, there’s not really any rollercoaster like it.
@@youllneverknowgorg actually, maybe they DIDN'T think I was confusing it with another ride. They might've instead thought that there WAS no ride that went backwards and whatever source I heard that from was lying/fake. Either way I specifically remember telling them about it and them going "that's ridiculous!" or something to that effect, and then when we got off the ride their reaction was the EXACT same as the dad in this video: "oh.......I didn't know." followed by an awkward pause XD.
I just went on this ride for the first time ever last month and I still have not recovered. Words cannot describe. :') It wasn't even the most intense coaster I've been on, it just ~hits ya different~ on this one.
Why are people so much more afraid of this than any other Vekoma minetrain wait it's a vekoma they must be screaming because the restraints hurt so much
Guys pls don’t underestimate this ride it looks slow on camera but it’s fast also when we stopped I didn’t see the broken trakes I was in the back so I thought the ride had broken or something the we went back so fast it was insane but overall it so fun I give it a 10/10
the description: Jessica was three years younger and sat alone behind us. she was fine... Me: firstly, at the end of that second long lifthill, she shook her head left to right and secondly, she wasn't alone, she was sitting with someone
I’m guessing Rollercoasters are not his cup of tea? 🤔😢🤦♂️. Poor Kid, he was terrified. You can’t do this to kids, I hope he wanted to ride this and not forced on it.
I rode it with my little cousin years ago and it was the first time for both of us (she was 6 at the time and I was 15) and when I tell you that girl squeezed the heck out of my hand 😂 she didn’t scream or cry she just stared right ahead and squeezed my hand like there was no tomorrow. I was terrified too 😂 but we both said we wanted to ride it again afterwards
Not Funny or hilarious at all, as a former ride operator (not at this park, but others), I would not have sent the train with this kid onboard unless he was calm and understood exactly what the ride did, Forcing a kid to ride something they are terrified of, is a recipe for a major safety issue, in the kids terrified state, as a ride operator, i would have no idea what the kid might do, hence why i would never force him/her to ride. Yeah its going to delay sending out the train, but better that a kid enjoys the ride instead of being traumatized by it for life, If i have to pull the kid off the train to help calm them down and give them a few mins and talk to them and explain what the ride does, that works better than forcing them to do something they don't want to do.
That's right that he is sceming because I went on that ride before yesterday and I was sceming too. You shouldn't be laughing because that ride actually gose backwards really fast and you probably don't think that it gose really high but the truth is that it gose really high.
I went on this ride for the first time about a year ago and I was always scared of it because I knew it went backwards and that's the part I was scared of but when my family and I went on it I thought it was really fun
