Man, I miss Horizons so much! I hope Disney incorporates it into a ride someday, or allows guests to experience a VR version of it.

it is so sad if you think about it, because this is like a goodbye to epcot’s past. epcot is becoming a brand new park and probably will never be the same again.

Would of liked a "We Go On" tribute to "Illuminations" at the end in leu of "Whole New World"

I guess Disney getting rid of The Whole (learning) experience of Epcot a just turning in into another theme park

**** Needed one snippet of Reflections of Earth. They needed to end with We Go On. Where did Whole New World fit in the mind of Imagineers?

It was good... but wanted more nostalgia... Needed “we go on” added in; instead of “whole new world” which isn’t even relevant to EPCOT and it’s history...

At 21:27 those fireworks that shoot off I was standing right behind on of those big boys and WOW it scared me half to death

I actually think this show is super sweet and that's comin from someone who is still young enough that I had to research some of these old attractions and song references. The children voices are sweet and make me feel like I'm little and experiencing that old Epcot again. And "A Whole New World"is them referring to the amazing changes that will make Epcot anew. There's not a lot of parks that would take the time to make a temporary transition show before a new one so I thank Disney for doing just that for us.

I liked it, but it could have been executed better. Positives: > Good concept > Nostalgia songs > An attempt at emotional depth > Walt's voice > The child narrator (great potential) > The use of the dead stop and surprise was awesome Negatives > I was at the front and where I stood the sound was poor. An acoustic dead zone at the front? > A whole new world - IP and on the nose. Could be taken as an insult by fans. > Writing and musical arrangements weren't good enough. Didn't make me tear up, even though it had all the right elements. > Kites underwhelming after the hype. (Should have been more elaborate - bigger, differently shaped, maybe more numerous. Think the tapestry of Nations parade.) Illuminations and wishes are still the best fireworks shows Disney has produced.

I think I can see myself in the crowd. It was a great show.

Dear Disney, this is so much better that Harmonious and Enchantment as a WDW50 type entertainment. I just saw this for the first time, and TBH, this format (the music and Walt's dialogue) was what I was expecting for the 50th anniversary, not those simple non memorable medleys of the Disney hits.

It was good, but did not have the same impact as Illuminations

This is truely a beautiful show. It just captures the essence of Epcot so well. I love how Walt has such a nice role in the show. He deserves it. Figment bring used is just epic!!

This was a great show, but I have one request in terms of a bit of a change. Replace A Whole New World with We Go On, since it's a big part of Epcot's history. I feel like it should be the finale because even though Epcot is changing, it will still go on. Either that song or Promise. I like the shot of the torch at 17:56 and how it pays homage to Reflections of Earth and the Millenium Celebration.

I love the soarin’ music but this just didn’t give me the same feels as illuminations :(

I've never been more blueballed in my life than when I heard 5 seconds of New Horizons and then hard cut to Universe of Energy. We get it, Disney, you hate Horizons.

Thanking the Disney God’s that this is only temporary. The only good part of this was 1.) Walt’s voice 2.) Tapestry of Nations music Illuminations May have been older, but it had a beautiful story behind it. All of the nations united. Praying that the permanent show has a similar theme... Not just a bunch of music from Disney movies. I have treasured the score from Illuminations since I was a little girl.

I'm usually pretty optimistic with everything Disney, but idk about this one. While there are some fantastic effects( kites on fire) I feel like the music just doesn't have the emotional connection I had hoped for. Also, I love Aladdin, but the final song makes no sense. There's all these classic EPCOT songs, and then one Disney movie song. The music just feels really off. I've also had a weird feeling with this show mainly because it's called EPCOT Forever, but it will be gone by next summer. Here's hoping HarmonioUS is something spectacular!

Not trying to be a negative Nancy here... But am I the only one who thought that was meh compared to illuminations?

This show is entirely about EPCOT... what made illuminations so special was that it was entirely about something so much bigger than EPCOT and it embraced that, this is just Disney singing about Disney, it feels like another song mashup fireworks like happily ever after, not terrible, just not special

No emotional songs like "Promise" and "Tapestry of Nations" to leave the park...I felt that something is missing. I'm gonna miss Epcot as we knew it.

You had me hooked until A Whole New World. It's a great song, but it just does NOT fit into a show celebrating Epcot's history. Also, why the staggered shots from the outside just before the finale? That's a MUCH more impressive effect when it happens at the same time. I loved the tributes to the Millennium Celebration (which is the first time I visited, and that music is still iconic), but...then you had to shoehorn in that Whole New World at the end. Again, I LOVE that song, but...it did not fit, and really spoiled the theme of the show. Maybe it was supposed to represent World Showcase, but, Epcot was never about the whole movie tie-in thing. And if that's the direction the park is going, it makes me MUCH less likely to visit again in the future. Epcot was special because it was a great park WITHOUT relying on movie tie-ins. Now that Disney is shoehorning those movies and characters in, it's a LOT less special. You've got three other parks in which to do this. Let EPCOT be the one part of Walt Disney World that actually allies with Walt's vision for what it was supposed to be. Bob Chapek said that the competition would be doing the exact same thing if they had the IP that Disney had, but what used to set Disney apart was that Disney didn't NEED to do that to make special memories. Now it's all about "branding"...which, as Roy E Disney said, is what you do when there's nothing else to set you apart from the competition. I've seen the movies. I don't need to spend $150 to see a book report about those movies. "Branding" is what you do when you've run out of creativity. Show me something different from what I can see in a theater, or don't expect my money.

That was pretty cool! I love all the attractions apart of this show and add Walt Disney, we can never forget the man , the legend , the legacy and the magic that started it all!! Awesome performance can’t wait to see it in person!

It’s a cute tribute however it is CLEARLY just a placed show, there was no flow its was all over the place, and clearly not as much effort was put in because the effort is being put into HarmonioUS (which is totally fine) I just wish Illuminations was still going until HarmonioUS was finished and ready instead of seeing a placer show on my next trip

This was nice, but like a lot of other comments I’ve read, it needs more nostalgia. They needed to feature more of the emotional songs and frankly it could’ve used some old ride narrations from Horizons, World of Motion, Spaceship Earth, Living Seas, and others. I liked that they used Walt’s Epcot film but ride narrations would sound SO cool too! I liked that they featured “One Little Spark”, “Tomorrow’s Child”, “Magic Journeys”, “Universe of Energy”, “We’ve Just Begun to Dream”, “Listen to the Land”, “Makin Memories”, and they even threw in “Its Fun to Be Free”, which I thought for sure wouldn’t get featured at all. It was disappointing to only hear these tunes for like 15-30 seconds and then play “Whole New World” for no reason for almost a minute. That made me a little mad. Aladin has NOTHING to do with Epcot! Leave the IP’s out of it for once! The fact that they missed out on the Living Seas theme, Promise, and a few others just disappointed me. I know that it can only be so long, but COME ON! I got really hyped up for this and as usual got my hopes up too high. Disney Parks has really been disappointing me the last 2 years with it’s announcements and new attractions, shows, and management. I won’t even get to see this live ever too since it’s going away in March. I’m not going back to Florida for at least a year from now. It’s still really cool, and they did a nice job but it could’ve been better. I miss illuminations already.

I'm just happy that this is a temporary show. Honestly kind of an insult to the beauty of this park, really cant wait for the permanent one.

I live 2 hours from Disney World, I’m 58 years old and have lived in the same town my whole life. So I’ve been to Disney so many times I can’t even count them. One thing that has stayed consistent from the beginning is that Disney does everything perfectly. Even as prices go up and up, over the years, it remains worth it.

Some interesting elements but the music and sections didn’t have the same universal appeal as past shows. Past fireworks shows stood on their own, where as you really needed to have experienced the referenced shows/rides to feel any bit nostalgic or emotional. Additionally, Let Me Share This Whole New World With You seems out of place at a show which closes your day’s experience. Rather, it’s a better sentiment for when you’re walking into the park.

Cute. Some really nice scenes. But overall, it feels like this could be a pre-show to IllumiNations. And... that's not good.

Disney, you didn’t need A Whole New World as one of the songs, I was already hooked into this show when it was ONLY THE CLASSIC EPCOT MUSIC

I know everyone it's like "this show it's not as good as illuminations", but as part of the Disney CRP 2019-2020 international Program (not finished because of the pandemic) and working for the mouse....these produced me feelings after months of not listening to it, this was my day to day working in Disney, I used to hear that music while I was cleaning tables or trash cans haha, but that doesn't matter....all days when I used to listen to that show I thought dreams can be true....I wasnt a huge Disney fan until I went to the program, these guys really knows how to make you feel good and nostalgic, they really make you think you are able to do anything that you propose...I really miss those days....I hope someday I'll be back at Disney and revive one of the best times of my life...

Best part was the random "Cha Cha Cha" that made me laugh. Starting out with Figment sung by children was amazing and then let's talk about those Fire Kites. WHAT??? I mean come on FIRE KITES!!!! AMAZING!!

I REALLY hope that Disney keeps the "peace on earth" holiday ending with this new show.

A Whole New World?!! Really Disney? Why? I wanted to listen We Go On!

I can't stand the close-up shots of fireworks, especially AFTER they've exploded. They do this every live show - we miss so many of the effects because they insist on zooming in. No fireworks show was designed to be viewed from 10 feet away from an exploding firework. Also, stop changing shots every 10 seconds! Pick 1-2 angles and stick with them so it looks like it would if we were in the park watching it.

I was in tear of joy until "A whole new world" I get the message.. the execution was poor. Idk maybe I'm the weirdo.. since Moana is coming maybe "How Far Will I Go" is a song that shares in Epcot's message of forward movment and journey.

illuminations and Epcot Forever actually plays The Tapestry of Nations

would have been better with the original audio but its still a very cool, very short lived show. (i really want to hear a remaster of Magic Journeys and whoever is singing it here is really freakin good)

Would have liked to hear the original pieces of music....along with the voices of Figment and Dreamfinder. It's kind of telling that they ended it with an IP song, "Whole New World", which had nothing to do with EPCOT Center. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Chapek's promise to honor the original vision of EPCOT has proven to be just lip service. What a pathetic ending to a once great FUTURE WORLD. How sad.

It was nice.... But Illuminations was much better. Wish they would have at least included the song instead of whole new world.

Out of everything announced recently THIS SHOW was what I was most excited for. But this was very disappointing in my opinion. First of all why was the narrator an 8 year old. Also ALADDIN?? I don’t remember one of the endings you could pick on horizons being Agraba. WHY WOULD THEY ADD AN IP FOR AN EPCOT FAN SERVICE SHOW?! Oh and I think they should’ve added some narration from horizons and journey to imagination etc Side note I stole that agraba joke from twitter

the show was 11 minutes long? MY CLOCK IN IS for the first time 11:02.931 the show was amazing its like a good connection. i don't know how long will that show take but i enjoyed it.

Disney got rid of Reflections for this???? I appreciate the nostalgia, but it all seemed so choppy. And 'A Whole New World' didn't fit at all!! Cool kites and new fireworks, but the emotion and flow were lacking.

I love this so much 🥺 I love the whole new world bit! It shows how Epcot has changed over the years so much. And the fact that figment was shown a lot with the soundtrack. Amazing.

The video doesn't do the Kites justice, you have to be there to experience them in person, they are wicked cool!!!!

it’s wishes plus epcot music and its pretty slow.. quite disappointed. the fact the thing everyone was most excited about was tapestry of nations proves that we miss IROE

This show went for a quick emotional tug and that was it. Illuminations not just ROE, but the ones before had a grandeur about them. There was a sense of looking toward the future for inspiration about our dreams, our children's futures. The shows would give the sense of exploration. This did none of that. This went for emotional ties to past music. If i wanted those kind of ties I would just listen to my steaming music service. I feel like this was geared for kids, EPCOT was never just geared for kids, it was geared for not now, but what's to come. Where will we be in 10 years? Where will technology be? When you leave you should be thinking not about the past, but about what you can do for the future. This missed the mark and I honestly don't know why. I just feel it was made to make people cry for what they hear, but not for what they want to stand for. Where's the old, the more family, less cry on my shoulder EPCOT?

Meh!!! Bring back illuminations. At least at the end there was that earth thing that floated to the lake center and opened up. This was just kites and colorful fireworks. To really change Epcot how about adding some more countries?

Loved Figment, One little Spark and Tapestry of Nations. It could have used a little Dreamfinder in it and not sure I'm feeling A Whole New World. But overall I definitely enjoyed it.

this is such an awesome tribute to epcot park through the years up to date; can't wait to see this during my stay in 51 days. i almost got emotional when hearing walt's voice; what a magical moment, wow!!!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love EPCOT but I felt EPCOT FOREVER was missing something. I enjoyed the firework kites and got excited when I heard ‘Tapestry’ but felt underwhelmed when A Whole New World started playing. I get why they included it but it’s no ‘We Go On’. It felt like a very flat ending with no emotion or attachment. Maybe in time I’ll appreciate it more and grow an attachment but right now Illuminations stands tall and I guess will live ‘FOREVER’

It's a tribute to old Epcot, but does not give of that vibe. I think it was great that they wanted to bring back the old tunes, but the Whole New World song did not fit, it lacked a story Illuminations gave, it overrelied on fireworks and firekites to the point it got dull. I personally think it was a good try, but they could've done a lot better. Also, I hope the new president will stay true to EPCOT and not continue all this new stuff even Walt himself would not like.

I only went to epcot at the end of 2018 so I missed everything. Even so, of everything I had associated with WDW beforehand was at epcot. I'm really disappointed at the lack of captain EO Easter eggs at the park

I get the comments about "Whole New World" and I agree on first blush it seems like it doesn't belong, but actually I think it is kind of brilliant. Disney has been very clear that they are re-inventing Epcot once again, and the idea of "let me share this whole new world with you" is a great motto for what is to come. The concept of World Showcase and a new Epcot helps make the case I think. All in all, a marvelous show. Can't wait to see it in person.
