I taped this when I was a kid and loved it but that tape is long gone and so I'd been looking for this special for decades. Great to see it again! Thanks for posting it.
@@RochesterTVArchive I regret not taking better care of my tapes. And once I committed to DVDs, I didn't even own a VCR anymore. I'd love to be able to go back and view all those miscellaneous tapes.
This is very good, but so many of the facts are wrong. Most of the clips they are using are from the shorts that had been in public domain for years. Disorder In The Court, Bridless Groom, Sing A Song Of Sixpants " and " Malice In The Palace " . The TV pilot " Jerks of all trades " is from 1949 and not 1955
Too bad the commercial breaks were edited, but nonetheless, a fine tribute to the world's longest-running comedy act. Yep, the Three Stooges made more movies (shorts and features) than any other comedy team in motion picture history.
Why, I remember catching this on a late-night airing on the Fox Family Channel, back in the Year of Our King K. Rool, 1999. Or was it 2000? Please note, Donkey Kong Country was on the channel at the time for a few years, even into the rebrand that did away with the old house logo.
