It’s quite a reach to say they’re treated like legends in other countries. They are treated as nice as how much they can profit out of them. Racists remarks and downplaying their achievements happens quite often in western media as well.
They're treated really bad by European media as well : In France and Italy the last reports by major news channels were mainly "they are forced into dieting and plastic chirurgy" (lies actually), with no real mentions of their achievements, engagements, or music. It doesn't excuse the way they're treated by their own country's media though.

Inkigayo is on SBS and one of the owners of SBS is an investing firm called Mirae Asset. You have a guess atwhich of the Big3 receives investment from Mirae. There lies your answer. Inkigayo also released a chart today of the highest ranking songs and didnt include a single BTS song but included every other group. This is much deeper than human error. Connections dont just die away and YG has deep rooted connections in the industry. The stock prices are decreasing, he needs to make it out to seem that BP are doing better than they actually are to attract investors. If they remove BTS from the picture then every group wins easily. Most Armys who have been noticing these patterns for years are grown adults who can think objectively. The entertainment industry is seriously corrupt and when you put together every thing that seems to happen only to BTS you realise that it's the Big3 against Bighit. And if it was only human error than why was Dispatch so confused?Surely in all the years inkigayo has been around something like this hasnt happened otherwise they wouldn't need an explanation. Armys are hating on Inkigayo not BP and many are calling out YG. We don't necessarily need the award tbh BTS is having their best time right now and are doing really well and that is all armys want, but it is a matter for being treated fairly. @Fer 094 the Dispatch case is different. Dispatch had already stated they followed BTS closely but the boys didn't do anything wrong so they gave up in 2017. Later the exclusive photoshoots started (I think in IDOL era? I don't remember seeing earlier photos with their logo)

Even if bts didnt win, they should have DEFINITELY been on the charts. They have the numbers to prove it. Also, it's a coincidence that this is the only win for BP. People forget that the kpop industry is all about business, so it's definitely not a "human error" that this all happened at the same time. BP have great potential. About Inkigayo, the thing is BTS has comebacks on Friday, at 6pm, since Fake Love. It's their 3rd CB on Friday and for Fake Love and IDOL Inkigayo didn't say anything. Tbh ARMYs and Blinks both should be mad about this. It's obvious why ARMY should be, but Blinks should also be because this cheapens BP's win and make people question if they actually deserve it. Of course BP killed it, but if they saw this news (which they undoubtedly did) wouldn't this be a big blow to their self confidence? I feel the same way towards BTS tbh. Over the years, my experiences with toxic BTS fans has made it so I can't even listen to their music without being annoyed. For a while I tried to fight against it and ignore the fanbase, but I just couldn't. Every time I would discuss kpop, even if it was just a girlgroup or soloist, somehow BTS was dragged into the conversation. However, I still don't believe BP should have won that award. Objectively speaking, BTS has better numbers and a stronger fanbase. That right there was enough to get them the award. Army have every right to be upset, and I understand completely if Army are turned off from BP because of this.

Bighit had never plan to cancel the concert in the first place because SBS will only just broadcast the concert but the actual event is funded by the Gwangju local government for the FINA world swimming championship Also THE CONCERT TICKETS ARE FREE for Koreans but there's some tickets on sale for international fans that want to come to the event, mostly a part of a travel package

Lol Danny, you're being very naive about the whole YG situation. East Asian businesses operate differently from other foreign corporations. Historical dealings and past relationships play a bigger role in deal making than you think. Also Entertainment wings of such companies may be seperate. YG is still operating well despite having such scandalous accusations against them. Some of the artists are still running amok despite being charged with criminal activities. My point is they are called the Big3 not just because they have money. It's influence and connections and years and years of business/personal relationships with media personnel. Absolutely agree! There is no way that the number 1 Kpop group in the world- BTS, can be simply forgotten because of a human error. @Fer 094 Well I think they tried to find dirt on our boys in the past but the more they digged the more gold they found and eventually kind of gave up. They still follow them once in a while, they followed Jungkook last year around the city but he just biked for hours. They found it weird but praised him for it too 😆😂

Bri- Chimchim Cher-ee TXT was supposed to join a variety show from SBS but BigHit pulled them out. This was like the case with BTS too BTS was treated badly in variety shows that’s why they rarely appear and they have their own (BTS RUN, BTS GAYO, etc) with the issue of what SBS did to BTS regarding awards and stuff it was understandable why BigHit did it. If SBS can do it to BigHits big artist BTS then the more they can do it to the newly debut TXT. BigHit is protecting their artists.

First off, idk if you knew, BigHit pulled out TXT from a SBS line-up event 2-3 days after the incident happened. + I'm gonna say this, the reasoning SBS is too big for that does not make any sense. The company is a machine with many tribes. As a person who worked for behind the scenes of entertainment industry, I don't feel any doubts about SBS being bribed - whether it's YG or whoever. Which leads to the fact that on the surface, only YG would have a gain in this sht, since KTL is tanking on charts (at least comparing to other BP title tracks), and Inkigayo with their viewership IS a promo. I agree with David entirely, especially when you look at the industry as a whole from a business perspective. Big hit was estimated to be worth 1.6 Billion dollars last year, and ALL of that was due to BTS. Objectively speaking, bighit is a high risk company because they have their income weighted heavily on BTS and BTS alone currently. If something were to happen to BTS (I obviously hope nothing happens to the boys and they’re together for years to come) then that would be the end of the company being a unicorn startup. So it would make sense why people, despite being aware of how well BTS are doing currently, would still have ties with the big 3, where their income is diversified. They don’t have one income stream like big hit, and the future is less unpredictable. So it’s very fishy. I’m sure they STILL have ties, and Exo getting the ending stage over BTS last year, is enough evidence for me. 🤷🏽♀️
BTS might be the only source of income at the moment but the fact that they are already known and is already a BIG Company is no longer a high risk because all eyes are on them now.. they are even going worldwide now. They recently announced that they will start global recruitment and will be hosted by TXT. Starting in Newark NY. Big Hit is going Big worldwide and Big 3 will remain in korea😉 big difference. TXT is also doing well for a beginners..they now longer struggle like BTS but i hope that Big Hit will keep the rules. Give them more freedom and let them participate! Bring the best of each of them then they will shine naturally just like BTS but on their own ways, styles, group identity. Something that YG is scared to do with its artist.

Alcyone I know TXT is here now, and I love them. But it isn’t guaranteed that they will ever be on BTS’s level, it isn’t guaranteed that any kpop group will be able to do what BTS’s is doing now. I don't like Black Pink but the photocard issue was I think showing the girls as being abused and romanticizing it. But I don't really think so? Boys do it all the time and I think there's this bias that girls are weaker or not strong and as for the cultural appropriation people are saying that Lisa's braids were Thai braids since its popular there but I don't really know how to feel about it since they make it very "stereotypical black" as in they just use the braids in the rap parts and not really anywhere else, I feel like it was used only for aesthetic purposes so....

Danny, i think you're underestimating the power of "old connections" and how important it is for a company such as YG to maintain their brand. SBS and YG, despite the current scandal, have very tight connection that goes back to many years ago. YG has bad relationship with literally every other channel, but they still give opportunities to YG idols by employeeing them in their shows. As for YG, the scandal won't stop them from promoting BP. Their comeback has been highly anticipated prior to the scandal because of how successful DDDD was in Korea. But the results were rather disappointing for BP, as they haven't been able to top the charts and get any in wins in their own home country on music shows that even idols less popular than BP have managed to win on. BP is YG's biggest asset right now in terms of idol groups and they don't want to lose investors, for that BP needs to excel at everything, including domestic charts. So while winning a no1 on a music show is not a big deal for a group like BlackPink, NOT winning anything at all is not good.

I've definitely not seen an outpouring of anger toward BP. I feel helpless as an i-Army. They don't deserve that sort of disrespect. They performed and had to stand there and not even be included in the scoring. I trust in BigHit to protect the boys. Hitman Bang is a smart man.
