Interesting knife Beez. I got a QSP Penguin on sale a few weeks ago for a little over $26, QSP knifes are very well made and have no blade play. Thanks for showing it to us. 👍
Dude! $26 is awesome! I agree. QSP are made very well. From their budget, to their premium. You're welcome, brother. Is that an archer in your avatar picture?
For $25 you can't complain to much. I noticed that you did not mEntion anything about the lack of jimping. What can you say, you get what you pay for and at that proce it will do very nicely for beating around the house or at work. See you in the HIVESTREAM!!
Good budget knife. Maybe it will sell well enough that they upgrade the blade to 9cr or D2. Like a lot of others have said it looks like a Sitivien. Has to be the same parent company or the same hardware supplier. The clip, thumbstuds, pivot screw and crossbar are identical to ones that Sitivien uses.
It would interesting to know if it was the same company. Sitivien's are more solid though. 9cr would be a great upgrade and they could still keep the price down. Thank you brother👊. Happy Hump Day!
Looks like another good budget option. It's funny you mentioned gas station knives because I clicked you link and went to the "Dispatch Store" and there are a few there I would say fit thar category! I just love to browse these knives on Amazon. I mean observe it 🤣
😅 Yep, some of those are real "lookers" 😅. 3 years ago, I was buying $10 knives left and right. I really like the primo knives, but I still appreciate a $20 banger. It's fun to sharpen 8cr too. It's so fast! Observe it! 🤣 Happy Hump Day, brother!
My Dispatch is just like the one in the video. Some minor faults. But over all I have it cutting cardboard and crap for over a month and its held up. Hey for the price, its alright, you need a cheap beater, this is the way to go.
I think yesterday one a tad better for me tho another one caught my eye. Centering probably varies so that's nothing . All in all it's priced right for any flaws.
*That's real nice.* *I like the EZ action.* *The blade shape and thickness, reminds me of a strong knife I would take to Hawaii for opening coconuts.* *A real winner for value, thanks for showing it.* 👍 *# 128*
@@BeezBlades *Yep, just do it!* *Life's time is precious, and priceless.* *You'll never regret living the good life.* *Best way to experience Hawaii, is to bring nothing, (except a coconut knife..LOL)* *Buy a bathing-suit T-shirt (s) sandals, and some food when you get there, rent everything else.* *When it's time to leave, don't get excited, and waste your day; simply pack in a carry-on bag whatever souvenirs you may have acquired, and the clothes you had on your back when you left home, then change into them on the jet back.* *Not sure how you check a knife though, as it wasn't a thing back in the day, but I'm sure you do.* *That's just a tip on what I found to be the best way to "Hang Loose" in the islands.*
Thanks for this. Why don’t any reviewers cut cardboard for a few cuts and then switch to paper? This is something I want to see. I love my drop bear & thought the factory edge was sharp as heck. Broke down two boxes & it dulled considerably. Not a criticism, rather a question from an enthusiastic noob!
Looks terrible for anything more than 25 bucks, so I guess it's fine. That screw in the middle of the scale is nonsense. I'm not about to use a cheap sloppy omega spring folder on bearings "in the garden". Why would I want a work knife that's crap? LOL most of these budget knives are nothing beyond eye candy these days
I hear ya. I see this one as more of cutting twine, scraping rust, and stuff I don't want to use a nicer one on. If I get it mucked up, it gives me an excuse to "have to" take it apart and make is smooth again lol. Just part of the knife obsession I suppose. You make a good point about the eye candy. The collecting aspect is huge. Some people collect Nike, some like a bunch of knives. Thank you, brother. I hope you're having a great week.
@@BeezBlades I hear ya, I think I was in this collection phase a few years ago. These days I use my Spyderco and Spartan stuff in the garden or whatever and enjoy the experience of washers and great steel. Maybe it's just growing pains. Don't share this, I have a lot of budget knives to sell 😂
2:50 was First Thing comes to my mind but it's only Close Not the Same like I remember A real Beauty for the price 👍 Just Wonder If you broke it in or If it's Slam shut just Out the Box
As a reviewer, I do see a lot of knives. Some borrowed. Some purchased. Some donated, and most sent by knife companies. This one was sent be an anonymous subscribe🙂
That looks like amazing action for the price. So inexpensive, you could throw it away when entering the concert venue! Call the police! This is a steal!
Definitely budgety.😁 It's a good beater knife, and will make a good practice knife for mods. Who knows, maybe my first one to put a sharpening choil on!
The one problem I have with,a crossbar knife for work is getting a bunch of junk inside and clogging up that lock. I used to carry a benchmade for work and was constantly cleaning it out
I went to the Dispatch Amazon page and saw quite the array of knives with that special gas station look. They even have a “grey titanium blade and stainless steel wood handle” knife for just $19.99.
They definitely have some knives in the gas station category lol. I think they're trying to come out with some more premium versions, or at least better budget blades.
As a side table knife i see the benefit of it, however with no sharpening choil and the play from the factory, thats what itd be for me. A side table knife. Just something to keep on the table and flick / fidget maybe some light cutting. Looks good, but most likely not a hard user for me. Anywho, i love seeing more cheap crossbar locks, and my six dollar ozark trail axis lock is still holding up great. You definitely need to get one lol.
Yessir. This is a great flipper and flicker. I love budget blades that I don't care to toss up on the porch, or bang around. I'm gonna end up getting one of the Ozarks one of these days lol.
I might dispatch $24 for this knife just to practice my sharpening. My nitpicks are the same as yours but I have one problem. That blade play makes me think that lock might not hold under pressure.
I'll never buy another knife with an "omega" spring. You know why they call it that, right? Cause, when it snaps... it's OVER. Your knife is useless. I'll take a cage lock like the one in Spyderco's Manix 2. I'll never buy another Benchmade either. I don't use Balisong knives, there are much better fixed blades out there, and a axis lock is too risky and unreliable.
I haven't broken an omega spring yet, but I'm sure it's bound to happen. Stronger replacement omega springs are low priced on Etsy. That's probably where I will get them if it happens, or when it happens. The Manix 2 is in my top 5 knives! I'm not a ballisong user either.
All of the knives in this video look similar. Even the name placement and logos are similar. Are these all made by one company who brands them for each of these sellers? Serious question, not a criticism. I have a Ganzo G721 auto. I like it very much. $28 DELIVERED to Kansas!!!! My only wish is for a better steel. While the 440C was good in the 1970s, not so much by today's standards. It dulls easily, but is a breeze to strop back into sharpness. All of these PRC knives have very good build quality, which surprised me considering the trash usually sold online from PRC. It's always more enjoyable for me to find a really nice knife (or anything) for a great price than to get a great product that costs a small fortune. The surprise in quality is the best part IMO. Thanks for this video!!
Dispatch, I’ve never heard of that before either! It’s got a good size to it. And it’s pretty neat looking! Personally I’d rather honestly get a Benchmade if it was a crossbar lock knife.
They are another company I became aware of. There are so many! I'm all about a good budget beater blade. I have the feeling there are going to be more crossbar locks coming out left and right this year. We shall see lol. Thank you brother! Happy Hump Day!
