I used to believe this, but I am now an amillennialist, and see the unity between the OT and NT. I think 1 Corinthians 15 is the deathblow to premillennialism, as it puts the rapture, resurrection, and defeat of death and sin as happening at His coming. It’s all part of rhe same evenr. And He is clearly reigning now as all His enemies are being put under His feet

@@americanslav9694 After carefully reading Zechariah and Ezekiel and an intense deep study of the Minor Prophets, it was absolutely no way I could allegorize all those future events. It was then that Amillennialism began to crumble and show it's weaknesses and Progressive Dispensationalism answered a lot of questions regarding the end-times that neither traditional Dispensationalism or Covenant Theology could aswer.
At least some Amillennialists believe that the Christians who have died are ruling with Christ from Heaven. This takes place during the time between Christ’s First and Second Comings. They believe Satan is bound. Here is a major problem with that; If we just take a simple look at the world today it certainly does not appear that Satan is bound (so as not to deceive the nations) and Christ is ruling and reigning. If Satan is bound during the Church Age as per Amillennial doctrine, then why does scripture call him the god of this world? Also, if Satan was bound and Christ was reigning, do we really think we would have over a billion Muslims, who view Jesus as a prophet right below Mohamad, a billion Buddhists, who believe Jesus was an enlightened person, a billion Hindus, who believe Jesus studied yoga and became a guru to the Jews, a billion Catholics who are entrusting their souls to Mary at the hour of their death, nearly a billion atheists, the LGBTQ running rampant, TV shows and movies, that continually blaspheme God and His Christ, drinking, drugs, human trafficking, and colleges that have become propaganda mills that promote Godless, Big-bang theology and Darwinian Evolution, and a host of other sinful deeds that will be eliminated during the reign of Jesus Christ, our Holy God. This is a good example of eisegesis; reading pre-conceived ideas into the text, rather than simply reading what the text is clearly stating. Also, with Christ ruling from Heaven, why does 2nd Timothy 3:1-13 say, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."
Great job. The most important practice we can make is to read our entire Bible, make connections, and stand beneath what God has stated. Nice work on this one.
I am a Baptist PK. I was raised Pre-Trib, but when I tried to find it in the Bible...it wasn't there. I looked for years. I bought all of the books. It still isn't there.
@@eschatology_matters, as Bible prophecy can be fulfilled in a myriad of ways (some prophecies have literal fulfillment, some figurative, some can have multiple fulfillment, some are partially fulfilled based on conditionality, etc.) I don't think the truth is confined to any one view. That said, I do find the strongest Biblical and historical arguments to be in favor of historic premil.
I hope there’s not great disillusionment and falling in the American church if/when their reading in a pre-trib rapture between the lines of Scripture doesn’t come to pass. So many Christians all over the world going through tremendous trials. They didn’t get raptured out, but they have eternal joy & hope to look forward to as they patiently endure tribulations of this age.

I’m going to book up on Historic Premil, but Christ is still my lens, and what he preached on earth is what I believe. Why would Christ’s view ever change, even in Heaven?
Kudos to EM for allowing all views to be expressed. But he lost me when he described the dispensational hermeneutic. I vehemently disagree with it as it is contrary to covenant theology as I understand it: an organic unity between the OT and NT.
It’s wonderful that Eschatology Matters allows all views to be put on display. This brother seems well intentioned and quite sure of his beliefs, however, this is almost a perfect example of eisegesis. I shared this view for many years, I’m now a partial-preterist postmillennial. You’ll notice throughout his presentation, there isn’t any appeal or mere mention of anything pertaining to the history of the church. No church father ever held to dispensational premillennialism- period. There is also the classic chart-making we find among nearly all dispensationalists. Personally, I think this view is destructive and presents the church as getting worse over time and the message of the Gospel coming up short in its proclamation (polishing brass on a sinking ship). Everyone has an Eschatological view. Your view pertaining to “last things” can typically be seen at work in your daily life. Dispensational Premil is exciting in a fantastical way but falls short in light of the truth.

I agree 100% this is a bad presentation, I stopped watching 10 minutes in because I knew where it was going. But I still lean towards a nuanced view of Pre-Mil Dispensationalism. I did my own study of scripture, and I Do see the rapture, literal Antichrist, and literal millennium being biblical. Circa 1920 A.W. Pink wrote an excellent defense of pre-mil dispensationalism, and I have not read anything in scripture that conclusively refute's A.W. Pink's conclusions.
This is a pretty good presentation on Biblical events and how they will unfold. Unless you want to make everything in the Bible allegorical then dispensationalism is the only way to unify the Bible without it contradicting.
Ps 11:1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 1 Cor 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. How can Jesus reign until all enemies are under his feet if he must sit at the right hand until all enemies are made his footstool? The only explanation that can be derived from this is that he is reigning now at the right hand of the Father. God was king of Israel before anointing Saul. Who was he king over? The people of Israel. They were his kingdom. He ruled and earthly kingdom from his throne in heaven. So then, with Jesus being God, why is it claimed for it to have to be a literal throne by dispensationalist and not acceptable for him to sit on the very throne and rule over Israel as God did in times past over Israel, with Jesus being God. 1 Cor 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1 Cor 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. The last enemy death and the victory over it forever are directly tied to the resurrection of the dead believers. Where do we see death ultimately destroy in the bible? Rev 20:14 when death and hades are thrown into the lake of fire. This event is accompanied by a resurrection of the dead and a judgement. Both of these Jesus said would happen at the last day. John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6L54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. How then do we come up with doctrines that claim to raise believers before the last day and death remaining present afterwards? Acts 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. The bible says Jesus will remain in heaven until the restoration of all things. Why then, do we hold to doctrines that claim Jesus comes back 1000 years before the restoration of "all" things. All things includes the new heavens and new earth which occurs in Rev 21:1.
Exactly. I don't know how Dispies, who claim to understand everything literally, can't see that the entire new testament supports A-/Postmillenialism. All the Old Testament prophecies for Israel (and the church that is grafted into Israel) will be eternally fullfilled in the land of the new earth and in the new Jerusalem and not on this earth and todays Jerusalem in the Millenium (2. Peter 3, Hebrews 1+4+11+12,...).
