Hey it’s my Psalm 110 guy! If you haven’t heard him before you need to search for his congregations video of psalm 110. Great psalm for singing and great summary of Postmillenialism.

That was good. Learning about biblical, balanced, and optimistic eschatology has been a blessing. I will check out more of your content later. Thanks.

He keeps going back to dispensationalism but i believe the other speaker is historical premil and stated firmly that he disagreed with disp. If you research john darby and Scofield you ll learn quite a bit.

It depends on where your aim is set when it comes to the great commission. Many post mills abandon the great commission in the sense of evangelism to go build business thinking they are improving the world, and in a sense they are. But remember: ‭1 John 2:15-17 LSB‬ [15] Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. [17] And the world is passing away, and also its lusts, but the one who does the will of God abides forever.

I am surprised that Tim didn't mention which type of post-millennialism does he follow.

"So, I'm not gonna talk about Rev. 20." -Tim Bushong (@ 3:24). Yep, we know Postmillennialists REFUSE to talk about Rev. 20, the ONLY text in all of Scripture that talks about the Millennium. That much is clear. Why any Christian would take this seriously is beyond me. Anyways, *Soli Deo Gloria*

Why is one chapter in one of the most difficult books to understand the sole criteria for evaluating an end times view? I believe Revelation requires a very solid grasp of the whole of scripture and is also very self referential. Going over chapter 20 properly would require more time and a different speach topic. Ryan Reeves does an extensive look at Rev from a postmil perspective. Moreover, if your end times view is only based on just one passage, found in one of the most difficult books in the Bible, I think that's a problem. Going over the overall weight of scripture's teaching across different authors in different times yet showing a harmony of vision lends much more weight, and is easier to do for this sort of lecture. Besides, I know you have issues this challenge in the past and postmil believers have responded to you. I remember when I tried to, it felt like you were constantly moving the goalposts around, but I think that's because you have to have such a fundamentally different view of scripture to make premil work that any one answer will contradict your system in numerous places even if it is self consistant with postmil. Rev 20 is probably the strongest chapter for premil, but it too often seems like it is the only chapter. I think it loses its strength when we see how the rest of scripture teaches on death and resurrection.

@@oracleoftroy Why do you constantly have to LIE about me and what I've said concerning this issue? Shame on you. Rev. 20 is NOT the "only chapter" or verse to look at, but all too often Postmills just ignore it, just like Tim Bushong said, "I'm not gonna go through Rev. 20". You would admit that Rev. 20 is the ONLY chapter in Scripture that talks about a Millennium though, wouldn't you? And, you would admit that all too often, Postmills refuse to look at all the texts that speak of the 2nd Advent, wouldn't you? That's the problem, right there. Again, my 2 questions for Postmillennialists still stand: 1). Where are the 2nd Advent passages in Scripture; let us know so we can examine them together; and 2). What is the Postmillennial understanding of Rev. 20 (those which are not stolen from Amillennial arguments). Pretty simple. I can easily answer both questions. Postmillennialists struggle, however. *Soli Deo Gloria*

There's no such terms as Christianise the nation's in the bible. We make disciples who are the Elect being justified by faith and then discipled. It's only FEW who find the narrow path, the rest are hellbound on the broad way. Not one of the Elect will be lost and not one other person will be saved and jesus says that will be few people compared to all who have lived. And then Abraham's promise is that if he looked down the corridor of millennia he would see lots of true Israelites over thousands of years. The stars and the sand are all symbolic to include both jew and later gentile, just as God owning the cattle on a thousand hills , in one sense a thousand is a big number but in Gods economy it's all representative.

In Jesus days on earth, few would find it and the path was narrow. It was a stumbling block. "I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd." Jesus died for the nations, for the world. He will sovereignly bring them in over time as He subdues his enemies.

@philipmurray9796 there is no evidence in Mathew 7 that jesus is only speaking to the people in front of him or his disciples of that day only. This passage is not like ch 24 in which jesus uses the word YOU in context of something they only will see and not us ( like 1 stone not being left upon another) ... when YOU see these things happen and other signs like THIS generation... no he doesn't use this language at all here to refer to those people only , he then says If You being evil , well are you and I and every generation are evil right ? You bet we are ... so this verse is timeless for all generations In fact he goes right into bad tree bad fruit/ good tree good fruit passage right after defining the Marco view of the kingdom and who 'will find it' so to speak. Remember the last enemy to be defeated is death and God can defeat the rest of his enemies in 1 tiny millisecond in Judgment in relation to Gods timeline. Rest assured all enemies will be subdued and his millennial reign will continue, sitting at the right hand of the father until these things all come to pass for the Glory of His namesake. Blessings

@@stevesaunders8862 if those saved are "always few", and not few at that time... then that seems to go against many promises of growth that the scriptures teach. A tiny mustard seed becoming the largest tree, or a little yeast working through the lump. Even back in Genesis God promises Abraham that through him all the families the earth will be blessed and that his descendents will be as the stars and as the sand. Many. Growth. The nations. The world. Starts small and takes over.

@philipmurray9796 we cannot insert words like "Always ", jesus is describing to us from a high view of the way to life in His name... “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Matthew 7:13‭-‬14 ESV He uses the word many to symbolise the most amount of people and FEW to symbolise a smaller number. Life means heaven and destruction means Hell. So this verse is telling us if you compare all the souls who ever lived over upwards of 6 millenia , most will go the broad way which is easy and they find hell opposed to those who choose the narrow way... now there are different views on what it means to be a 'descendant' of Abraham.. is God meaning regenerated descendants or physical descendants ?... for timesake I'm gathering you mean spiritual/regerate descendants... so I'll speak to this .... I agree with you in that when Abraham recieved the promise ?? 4 millennia ago well he would see that over 1000s of years God has saved many people in fact if we all stood before him while he was on a mountain then he would say... my posterity has been blessed as like the stars of heaven and the sand of the sea shore. I agree that sand and stars represent many, many people considering there still may be another 2000 years left to go until Christ . So Abraham could effectively see 6 millennia of converts standing before him, however both sand and stars are symbolic. Blessings

@philipmurray9796 so with the parable of the mustard seed, I'm guessing your a calvanist ? Does God grow something spiritually without faith ? Of course not. Who gives the faith ? Does faith begin small or large when your a new convert ? My point is that only regenerate people can become mustard trees . This parable in not depicting the amount of converts vs unregenerate throughout history until the second coming. That's not the point of this parable. Nor is it the teaching of Jesus regarding yeast and Dough .... the dough Jesus speaks of is the church , not the world .beware of the leavin of the Pharisees.. Pharisee =false teacher of the new covenant
