I think we'd all be surprised at how many people visit this site with absolutely no idea of what it is, its function, history or what to expect. They just know that they're supposed to get a photo with the Guard whilst in London because that's what everyone else does.

I know they understand English, I was married to one and he would just 'play' dumb to get by with things. Like I see so many of these do. Don't think for one minute they don't understand ... why else would you hear them say (in PERFECT English) 'Thank you' when somebody takes their photo for them? 🤔🤔🤨🤨

He’s preventing that specific horse from biting or bolting. He’s already been on an escape journey last week. Otherwise is that your horse? You’re not entitled.

@@grannygoes You are right about control, however the bolted horses are resting at the main stables.. All are getting better. People simply do not understand how highly trained and skilled these Guardsmen are. Thanks for speaking up, some folk are simply ignorant and negative.
