Looks like you were one of the few who knew that the song didn't end there. Was let down by most of the recordings that ended at that point, making this the BEST recording of Answers!
Absolutely insane performance. Saw this a few years ago at the Royal Albert Hall and my goodness, Distant Worlds always do a great job. Answers is my fave FF song and it's always gold.
Susan Calloway probably did not know it back then (or maybe she did) but she had the honor to sing one of the best songs ever made for a video game. Hearing her sing this song when I fought Bahamut in the Coils made me stop and just listen. The first time ever that I did not want a fight to end just so I could keep listening. And now with Endwalker freshly finished this song hits harder than ever before.
I'm a Japanese and Anime music fan, so the only music I am listening to are mostly Japanese. But wow, this voice and the song gave me chills. Now I'm a Susan Calloway fan.
That's usually what the conductor holding up his hands and looking back at the audience means. :\ Not to mention that awkward look Susan Calloway gave the audience.
It happens to this song in most of its plays. The pause really just sounds like the end, but It keeps going. Like the after the climax heading towards the resolution.
