@@WilliamThee4th This is intentionally filmed at Sugarlands so they can use their distillery license with supervision of employees. It's actually alcohol. It's not distilled water like they were making in the woods in previous seasons.

I myself don't really like hard liquor but I love seeing these guys and gals craft something they have a real passion for. I like a good beer so maybe I should get into crafting my own beers.

Go for it. As a professional brewer, I'll say that making high quality beer at home is a very difficult task for a beginner. Don't be discouraged by the first few brews and be prepared to spend a ton of time (and maybe money) especially if you enjoy the process.

Vodka is #1 because it's the most used spirit for cocktails. Cocktails are drunk multiple times more than any spirit served neat. If you are talking about what is the most consumed spirit that is drunk neat (straight up), it is whiskey.

I wanna see them do it blind to see how good those judges really are. Like if they can really tell what's in them drinks.
