This session will explore current dynamics around cultural, racial, and religious diversity in the newsroom. How do emerging trends in American religious pluralism impact, or not, the future of newsrooms? How do the cultural, ethnic, religious, and racial lenses reporters bring to bear in their crafts enrich reporting and enhance the work of newsrooms more generally? Finally, what norms should guide the diversification of newsrooms and journalists themselves as they navigate shifting dynamics?
