Thanks for visiting the Freshcutky organic gardening channel. In the garden, I will answer some of the most common "gardening for beginners" type questions I get, including growing flowers from seed. Growing greens, growing flowers, and planting beautiful organic food is something I'm really passionate about. Thank you for joining me as I learn to grow flowers, cut flowers, vegetables, and much more. Freshcutky youtube channel and related media are for entertainment purposes only.
Many ornamental flowers and cut flowers are TOXIC. ALWAYS do your own research and take responsibility for the plants that you introduce around your kids, pets, and everyone else. Use common sense when handling plant materials: wear gloves, always wash hands, avoid contact with face, etc. NEVER consume any plant which has not been positively identified with complete certainty to be safe and edible. Before planting anything, research to determine whether specific flowers are considered invasive where you live or if there are laws that apply to their planting in your area.

What is "@freshcutky"?
@freshcutky documents the pursuit of my goal of one day owning my own cut flower farm. Along the way, you'll see random projects, cooking, and of course - growing stuff. I'm not an expert, and would never claim to be. There's always more to learn - this is my journey. The purpose of my blog, and other social media accounts (including RU-vid) is to share ideas. I do my best to offer information that is useful, but reliance on that information is strictly at your own risk and NOT a substitute for professional advice of any kind. Tonya, you have got to have a taking to those bulbs that had already started growing! That is just irresponsible behavior for any bulb😂😂. I don’t envy you. I started a new garden last year. I can’t imagine having to dig up thousands of bulbs and sink them in a new field. Not to mention all of the other you are doing…I feel for you. Thank you for all that you have shared with me over the last few years. I’ve been inspired and learned soooo much from you💗🌸💗🌸💗

So glad you dug up your daffodils from the old house so you can enjoy them at your new house. 😊 I can't believe how much they multiplied!

Heaven to have all these daffodils! And … the opposite for having to dig them all up to transplant! So interesting on the bulbs pulling themselves into different positions.
@TONYAwiththeflowers

It was so much work, almost five days to get it completely done! 🌱🌱🌱

Can I ask you a couple of questions? First, were you able to tell what most of the varieties were? Do you try to transplant them in separate blocks, or did you end up making a big mix? Also, because they’re multiplying beautifully for you, did you space them farther apart so they could multiply for multiple years in the same spot (or will you keep dividing them)? I’m so curious what will happen this coming spring in your daffodil field! How did any of the tulips come along? Did you find any tulip bulbs nestled among the beds? (I think you may mostly pull tulip bulbs when harvesting those.) And - are you going back to your old garden for anything else in future, do you think? Thanks so much - really love your channel.

For the most part, they all looked very similar. However, there were definitely differences between each varieties - size, color, and number of new bulbs. I didn't label anything; the job was just too big. I didn't find any tulip bukbs. Most of mine usually rot away in the yard. Hope that helps! 🌱🌱🌱

Monster teeth great description. I dug up some at my brothers, they were working their way into his asparagus bed, wet clay soil. I know you were glad to be done moving all of those.

Wow. Thank you so much for showing the process of digging and dividing these with the wiggle technique. I divided my daffodil bulbs end of Spring with no idea what to do and ended up tearing some good ones apart. I planted them anyways this fall to see what would happen. Looking forward to see your daffodils this spring and what you do with this new space.

I hope you have better luck than me. I had to move mine (only about 100 or so) last December because we moved (zone 6) anyhow only a couple bloomed the first spring. I hope more of them bloom this year! But I have a lot more room here too so I added lots of tulips and some different kinds of daffs too, so surely something will bloom this year! Thanks for the video!

How can I keep the squirrels from digging them up and eating them? I’ve lost so many bulbs to squirrels. Is there a way of putting something over them, mesh to protect? I love the squirrels but need to keep them away from the crocus and daffodils. I’m going to try one more year to put them in…
