Thank you for your information! I’ve been gardening for years and I’ve never known what to do with my bulbs after they are done blooming. I have huge clumps now I can take care of it and divide them. Thank you again.

Does this work with tulips? I bought daffodil bulbs a couple years ago and planted in a row spaced each bulb as per package instructions. They haven’t spread like yours; should I just dig up and plant in odd numbers? I have rocky clay soil in zone 8b PNW I love how you have patches throughout your property and it must of take you years… absolutely beautiful! Any advice is much appreciated!

very informative however long lol - i thought you’d never get to the digging up part😮. what is the purpose of the T? why not just a split ?? bone meal ? i often don’t dig deep enough and cut them off - can i go back and redig just the bulb i left in ground - i realize with no foilage it might take 2 years to bloom❤

I"ve seen daffodils in lawns. How and when do you trim/cut them when cutting your lawn?

I'd recommend waiting as long as possible after they flower/mow around them but if you don't like the look of that you can cut them earlier they just might not come back quite as strong

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: Dividing daffodils is a simple process requiring basic tools like a spade and digging fork. Spring, right after flowering, is the best time for dividing daffodils. Daffodils come in diverse colors, shapes, and sizes, with over 30,000 varieties. Dividing daffodils helps spread out overgrown clumps, improves garden aesthetics, and propagates more plants. When dividing, separate bulbs gently, ensuring a mix of sizes, and check for pests or diseases. Plant bulbs at a similar depth, preferably in odd-numbered groups, and mix colors for visual appeal. Plant daffodils in partial shade to full sun, considering soil type and drainage. Design principles like grouping bulbs, creating swathes of color, and mixing varieties enhance garden aesthetics. Daffodils offer vast variety, with over 30,000 types, including classics like "Teta Tet" and multi-stem varieties. Explore daffodils further through events like the Cotehele Daffodil Festival in Cornwall, England, celebrating the region's daffodil history. Experiment with daffodils in any space, dividing them to propagate and trying different planting techniques. Leave daffodil leaves on bulbs post-planting as they continue photosynthesis, enhancing bulb growth and future flowering. Avoid cutting off daffodil leaves prematurely, as it can hinder flowering. Minimal aftercare, mainly keeping leaves intact, is required for healthy daffodils. Made with HARPA AI

I liked your T tech. Why not go with 1 bulb alone, if you have only a few bulbs? Would they not grow well when being alone? Then a small tip for you: 10:50 If you get one of those solar-powered fountains that are about $10 or so, you will bring in a lot more birds to your bird fountain. They love the sound and sight of moving water, even if that means having a dribbling water tape! rather stagnated water, that I'm sure is fresh and changed daily or so. (That is as long as you don't have a cat...) I had a lot of visiting beautiful migrating birds but since a neighbor's cat was kind enough to adopt us as his new permanent servant! we don't see much bird activity... Well can't have it all or can you?

You certainly can plant single bulbs but I think the display would be pretty thin until the bulb starts dividing over a number of years... Also if that one bulb has a problem you won't have anything there
