I ve been playing flute since my childhood. My first guru dint taught me the way things you explained here. and the Ma-Pa transition was an eye opener for me... Thank you V. Much...
Sir I've noted all the alankars you've taught us in this video and I'm practicing on it. So far i am NOW able to play high notes n low notes without mixing them ( my last query was on this only). Even I'm able to play all these alankars slowly . However Im able to play Ma and Pa but ONLY Separately .. While playing Sa Re Ga continuously on flute we get a continuous melody . But while playing Ma Pa Dha ... The TRANSITION from Ma to Pa is creating a very bad n funny sound IN BETWEEN, though the final Ma n Pa are good Ive tried to open the holes or close them as quickly as possible to reduce that " in between transition sound" but it still comes ... :-( Nikunj ( Delhi )
Wow. Thank you so much. You have explained the Indian music classical notes very clearly. I can finally understand even though it is still a bit challenging doing the notes on the bansuri. So happy! 🙏🌻
One video to become master at all the notes at beginner level. And the finishing touch Ma to Pa and Pa to Ma is fantastic. Expecting more videos like this Thank you

I have a doubt sir 🤚, in beginning you told Opening all holes would produce Tivra Ma, but on 15:00 you said that we could play Ma by closing last three holes , but how is this possible? will sound different to Teevra ma ? I am now confused, and on internet everyone has different system for covering holes.. infact finger chart is also different

I have seen ma taught to half close your finger over the hole, but I find I can not get the note to sound good. I also see people play it without half covering the hole to make ma sound. What should I be doing?
Thank you very much for the lessons sir!! I have a problem I am tackling for long time, please help sir, I can easily play "Pa" with all holes closed, but when I try to play "pa" with top hole open, it plays two sounds together, sounds like "ga" and "pa" are playing together😢 I made sure all holes except the top one and the bottom extra one are closed. My flute is 6 holes C middle flute.
Hello Sir...I am still not able to play PA properly in my C scale bansuri...though I am comfortably playing it in F# and C# scale flutes... Is it due to the size of the C scale that am not able to play it properly? Can you please guide how to play P properly in bigger flutes...like G scale. Thanks for your help.
