played the game for 5 years too never heard of this content creator EVER before now. But would love to refere to someone who actually has a slight idea of what they are talking about, since majority of the other creators has no idea what they are doing or talking about!

Unfortunately you can only have one or the other, so when you get the shock ammo you won't have the hollow point ammo, but if you kill an enemy as your shock ammo runs out, or shortly after, that will proc the hollow point ammo to drop and then you will have hollow points until you build back up to full shock stacks and then you will rinse and repeat all again

The main reason I see to use dodge City is for the once off emergency kill on an enemy, I suppose it could work if you tag the 3-5 enemies for negotiators dilemma and then whip out the pistol to hopefully oneshot them all, but that relies on getting lucky with the critical hit

I am a Dodge City Fan Girl. If I can fit it in, I will. Now, you you tag enemies, swap to pistol and crit, WINNER! Though if you did not crit, at least it is still one less enemy. So . . . .WINNER!

@@DodRegnbue This exactly is why I love running it! Plus I think it's kind of a cute quirk that makes my build MY build (10000 other people have probably done it before me lets ignore that). Still not sure which I prefer though, raw dps or dodge. I've been using the build you show in the video with sacrifice instead of walkers and it's felt really nice.

Mag size and reload has no effect on Burst DPS.

@@DodRegnbue yea but I’m terms of damage output over time, would it not have an effect? If My mag size is larger, I can shoot longer and if my gun also reloads faster, I can continue outputting damage quicker

This will only be a factor is you cannot kill one enemy per mag. Honestly, if it is taking you more than 70 bullets to kill an enemy, you have a completely different issue. Killing 3 adds in one Mag is 3 sets of Burst DPS. Damaging and Add, reloading, then killing him is Sustained. Theoretically, St Elmos compeltely removes the Sustained DPS Arguement, as, like I said, if you cannot kill things in 70 bullets. You have a different problem.

PGC is more if you're hitting headshots, but at max stacks it will be pretty close. Obliterate bonus will multiply with Strikers. Strikers' bonus says it is Total Weapon Damage but it's actually Amplified. So at max stacks, Obliterate and GC would be equal. The 5% extra from PGC probably outweighs the 15% CHD from Grupo, especially since we have so much CHD anyway, but really the question comes with the 60% damage taken and whether you personally can deal with that.

@@d15p4tch6 thank you! Given the way obliterate works (based on CHC + stack lasts 5s) wouldnt uptime at full stacks be very short lived? Or am i thinking about it incorrectly? admittedly I havent used obliterate all that much.

​@@jprk1024 if you get a crit within those 5 seconds, you keep all the existing stacks. Strikers is one of the only talents that doesn't work this way - with Strikers you lose your 2 stacks every second no matter what you do.

@@d15p4tch6 got it. In my head I thought the obliterate stacks worked the same way as the striker stacks.

You are unable to maintain Shock ammo effectively and the Shock Duration is like 3 seconds. Even with the Refresh spreading the shock is utteraly pointless.

The Grupo piece you can, that would be easier. Ceska is really annoying to fit in and most of the time I ended up with odd rolls.

@@andygreener3130 Shock and Awe Gives Total Skill Damage and Repair, so yeah you can, but it will not benefit the weapon in any way.

I would imagine it would, because since you actually get the shock ammo on your character and not build up stacks on an enemy to apply the shock, like with Scorpio, it should work. Especially since when I was playing my eclipse build the other day, I picked up some random shock ammo and it's shock was extended by all my status effects stats. Definitely something that would need conforming though

it does. I managed to increase mine to 5 sec with a lot of effort. Usually it lasts 2-3 seconds but it depends on how much status effect you have. And is usually not worth it increasing the amount of time for the shock unless its for a utility buildl like creeping death or eclipse etc. you will just lose dps

Glass cannon is best in slot for OD builds. Wicked, although lower that Vigi, it applies on status effect which means we have 100% up time.

Elmos actualy pretty much negates the use of Sustained DPS calculations. If you need more than 70 rounds to kill something you have bigger issues. There is literally no point comparing them under Sustained DPS calculations. Though if you are not using a Damage Talent, Elmo will win by rounghly 2.6%. The highest I have gotten the gap withough a Damage Talent is about 5% in favour of Elmo. The majority of players I know actually do not use Fast Hands, I know of maybe 4 or 5 that actively use it, simply because it is not a Damage Talent. More commonly people run Strained and Optimist - Optimist is actually the most Popular Talent on an AR. Even a Honey Badger with Optimist can out DPS Elmo (provided you get at least 10 head shot in the mag). Okay yest, the handling is nice, but hitting the target is still something that you learn, practice, I have done legendary runs where people get 70% accuracy, with a Famas. Player skill is something that is near impossible to calculate, and in truth, I am actually having a hard time with Elmos handling as I keep subconsiously compensating for recoil that just is not there. So, for the moment, I am less accurate with what is technically a mroe accurate weapon.

@@DodRegnbue Oh boy! This seems like another long discussion :) 1. Sustained DPS is an important measure of DPS just ignoring it when it reaches 70 bullets on an AR makes no sense. The diminishing comment of how many bullets are needed to kill an NPC is unnecessary and incorrect. If you're shooting at a Boss, or several NPC's your sustained DPS matters, completely dismissing sustained DPS is arbitrary an in my opinion incorrect.

Yes, the effect of handling on accuracy is highly subjective and difficult to measure, I referred to handling due to the 20% reload speed and its objective impact on sustained DPS (along with the extended mag). However, one of the recognized speed runners of D2, Rammbob, has demonstrated more than once the advantage of the higher accuracy of the Police M4 at mid and long ranges prior to St. Elmos (but this is not really the issue here) PS: just a small note, a lot of us can use Excel and I have done all my DPS calculations when PTS2 released

Chest - Increase Hoolow Point Amp damage from 20% to 35%. Issue is, running Glass cannon multiplies with it. 1.2*1.25 = 1.5. so 50% Amp. Backpack - INcrease the Duration of Bleed by 50% and damage by 100%. Only applies to Bleed.

@@DodRegnbue Ah. Had a dumb moment just then. I thought “but how because you can’t run both” but I now realise the 1st amp is from the 4 piece. I currently run the chest and bp with vile and a n other glove. Got a dttoc Famas all max with sadist and an L86 same stats as back up. I don’t like the initial kick of carnage. Is there a more optimal way to run this (probably)? Vile worth it? Cheers

Fox's and Contractors do less in this situation. Coyotes is fine as long as I stay within 15 meters. Straight 25% more CHD. Even at mid another 10% is fine. I also have 2 other weapons on me that do not come with 20% CHC and CHD attachments.
