At this point Tyler does not care about quality. He literally uses AI to finish his scripts. As long as people keep watching he has no reason to hire writers
Exactly...I stopped watching his films years ago because I felt like I could predict what would happen...as if I kept watching the same film over and over again
AI😂 but for him I believe it works because he doesn’t have to depend on writers , producers holding him hostage if they don’t agree with his vision. He was one of the few who prospered immensely through the writers strike. Why fix what’s not broke I guess.
What I've come to accept about tyler is, unlike other writers who want to tell new, cohesive, emotional, or thought-provoking stories, tyler writes to pander to his niche audience. This is why all of his movies are basically the same. I can't blame him. This type of writing and storytelling has made him a billionaire.
I really wish Tyler Perry would stop trying to write from the prospective of a black woman and just hire black women writers to do it. It’s always the same tired storylines. Now if Ava was the church girl that was abxsive THAT would’ve been good

Yeah that part turned out to be so anticlimactic and pointless 😂 why was everyone at the table smirking so deviously if nothing was going to happen. I was still trying to make sense of it, especially when Dallas said “this my house! “ I was thinking “is that the clause he put in the divorce papers ??” But nope that wasn’t it. So yeah, the paper signing scene was FOOLISHNESS lol.
I think Tyler doesn’t feel the need to change the formula in terms of writing because it’s gotten him this far. People loved his plays and the fact that his movies are always on the Most Watched lists, is enough for him lol

Long ago probably in 2009 or 10, I went to a wiz concert at UCF in Orlando. Everyone was smoking in that arena. It was so weird because everyone had blood shot eyes even the police officers. They were just laughing and cracking up. A haze of smoke was aalllll throughout. Even going to the concession was a big haze of smoke out there too. We had a blast. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t apart of Taylor Gang 🤭.

I thought Divorce in the Black was hilarious. I didn’t realize it was a dramady 😅😂😂😂 I had some hefty chuckles because ain’t no way! Unrealistic story/dialogue, Cory’s random emphasis on the word BITCH, the tired woman needs a man or woman tolerating bs then all of a sudden being about that life storyline, his movies have no evolution. I’m wondering if he does everything to save money so he can pay the actors a reasonable wage 🤷🏽♀️
I liked the Rona, Rona's husband, Ava's parents, the buff guy, but i dont understand Ava's line of thinking or how the Rona's husband and Corey's character were friends. Like how? What do they have in common, because...? Some of the things that occurred in the movie lack common sense, though. It is giving Zeus and Love & Hip-hop and I'm not moved by those shows.
I’m assuming they grew up together in that small town and were friends by default. Rona’s husband probably didn’t have dysfunctional parents like Dallas. I have besties from my hometown and people are shocked to know we’re so close because we’re literally night and day.
Tyler is a lazy writer..lazy to think, lazy to give his characters depth, lazy to not copy from his old movies, just lazy. So anything you watch from him now is just bleh but its to be expected.
I enjoyed the movie, some people are saying his movies are base off some people’s reality. Content comes from some facts. TP, has great movies, plays to me.
I enjoyed the movie. It had a lot of real topics in relationships. I think it was good to see church ppl be ok with divorce and protective of family. I expected it to be good and it was just that.
