this is so cute! i wish the tutorial was more detailed. what shes doing in the video is kind of different form what shes saying and you cant really tell where the fan stitch for the second row is supposed to go. i even looked at the written pattern and that is even less detailed. :(
I think when she said stop when their are 5 left at the end, you should skip the 5th one and DC three times in the 4th one...in the last of the third DC you should chain two and single crochet it to the 1st or the last loop..that means you skip the 2nd and 3rd loops..hope this helps and correct me if iam wrong..(:
I played the video in it's slowest mode and made a diagram to make sense of it. English is probably not her first language (nor mine) and she is not using crochet terms for the stitches, which makes it somewhat confusing. I'll try to explain: The two turning chains, at the end of the 2nd row and 3rd and 4th row, count as first stitch of the next row. The 2 turning chains are in fact a substitute for a double crochet (dc). The beginning and end of each row mirror each other, so you will have symmetry when the two sides form the middle section where the lacing goes. Beginning row 2: 2 turning chains ( is a dc), skip 2 stitches, 4 dc in the third stitch, skip 1 stitch, then dc till you have 5 stitches left. Then skip 1 stitch and 4 dc in the next stitch. 3 stitches left, skip 2 stitches and 1 dc in last stitch. Beginning row 3: chain 2 . Next is the fan stitch of the last row, it is made of 4 dc. You skip 2 dc of the fan and make your new fan, 4 dc, in the next stitch. You skip the next dc of the fan of the previous row and dc each dc of previous row until you reach the end of the dc portion and are left with the fan of the previous row and the two turning chains which count as first dc. The fan has 4 dc. You skip the first dc and make your new fan (4 dc) in the next dc. You skip the next 2 dc of previous row and make a final dc in the top chain of the 2 chain of the previous row. So each row starts with: 2 turning chain (=1 dc) - skip 2 stitches - 4 dc in next stitch - skip 1 stitch - make your dc portion and end the row with: skip 1 stitch (1 dc of fan of previous row) - 4 dc in next stitch - skip 2 stitches - end row with dc I hope it helps you making this, because it is such a nice pattern.
Thank you so much for making this amazing tutorial!! I am going to use this for my Mitsuri Kanroji cosplay! You may not know who that is but I just wanted to tell you, again thank you so much for making this! (Sorry if my writing is a little off😅)
awww this comment made my day!! Glad we could make creating diy a little easier for you! And wow excited to see the final result of your cosplay!! Please tag us on IG!! 😍
I’m sorry for the trouble, but do you by any chance have the measurements for how far apart the straps are and how far away they are from the lace/end of the rows?
Can someone explain if in the second row after the fan stitch we skip one st and double crochet every stitch or we skip one st and double crochet, skip st dc till the end
Hi sweetie! Check the link in the description box for full tutorial step by step! So you don't get confused and tag us on Instagram if you managed to finish your own crochet corset! 😘
I think you can try to double the amount. Best practice is to measure your under bust and add the chain to match the length. Keep in mind not to stretch the chains while straightening up size it with the length needed.
you can check in the description box :) we provided link of equivalent product for you. If you end up purchasing through our links that's actually a way to support our channel 😊
Do we still add the stitch markers in the stitch numbers u gave if we crocheted a different amount of chains for the foundation, it looks wrong when I put them there
if your chain size is different yes, you'll need to adjust accordingly. Markers are there to help us marking a point so whenever you see fit place the marker, as long as it's symmetrical 😉 Happy crochet!
If the yarn is thinner sure! It all depends on the yarn you choose to work with. You can also check the list of the materials provided from us in the description box 😊
@@hellooooooooo_hi2245 you can slow down the video to see exactly how it's done, but after yarning over, pull through to the first one :) Hope this helps
@@TrendyMami like i said, i've checked and you don't provide that info. you just tell what stitches to make the belts in for your own size and there's no info as to where one is supposed to put their stitches in case they have more or less chains. your pattern is very limited to the exact design you're making. please make sure to also highlight different sizes and instruct accordingly!
@@spicybean7361 basically do the same thing as her but making sure its bigger so it fits you so like keep putting it on your waist to check if it fits ever time you do something new
Yes you can definitely use it, although the number of chain and rows my gonna differ from what we suggested in the tutorial (you might want to add few numbers more)
ahahah alright we're gonna try explain more on the next project! (which is coming soon 😉) Btw you can also check the link in the description box for a detailed instruction
