Using hand tools and bits and pieces you probably already have, make a holder that you can attach to your tripod and shoot videos or stills with probably the best camera in your house
This is a good idea. Personally, I screw an AMPS mount to an aluminium L-bracket with the T-nut, like you have, and the tablet goes into a tablet holder, with a matching AMPS mount. The AMPS mount allows you to turn the device to any angle (portrait or landscape) I can do the same with a phone holder. Cheers,
I realize im commenting 3 years after the fact, but its going to bug the hell out of me if i dont ask or find out somehow lol. This may be a dumb question, but what is an AMPS mount?? Something Mobile Phone Something? Am i close? Lol
A light coating of RTV silicone in the "groove" would help to keep the phone from sliding out, and you have to push it in or out. If you make the two horizontal pieces a little longer, which will improve the grip and stability as well. Make sur the T-nut doesn't stick out of the hole, or the mount will 'jiggle.' Use a Dremel with a wheel to make it all flush.
That's some great quality content! Don't know why you don't have more views and subs. Btw, you have propably noticed it already, but you can slide the phone the oposite way, so the screen is not facing the holder. That way you see better what you are filming. :D
