Hey guys how is it going? I decided to try something fun today and share with you a super cool DIY candle project! This candle is not just a simple candle, it has Amethyst crystals inside and will help you to really relax when you have a stressful week! I hope you like the video! Adding so many dry flowers makes the candle a fire hazard, stick to adding the rocks on top instead. Also, soy candles need to cure for at least 2 weeks in order to develop a full heat throw.

Beware if selling or using a candle with dried flowers or glass crystals, real crystals are ok. They are fire hazard and my insurance for my candle business doesn't cover for candles that have embellishments

I've always been curious about materials such as dry flowers being placed in candles. What are the DO and DO NOT? I'm so afraid I might start a fire from one of the flowers.

It's a "don't" it's absolutely a fire risk.

Katherine Tuckett it isn’t a fire risk as long as you don’t put the flowers directly next to the wick. Otherwise the flower is encased in the wax was it melts

@@lou-js4ps In my country of residence (Australia) inclusions such as the ones shown in this video are banned in candles (under Consumer Protection Notice No. 12 of 2011) as the risk of fire is considered significant. Penalties for breaching this ban include fines of up to $1.1 Million AUD and jail time. (Of course this is just if you're selling the candles, the cops aren't going to raid your home - lol.)

I recently read that if you add something like rosemary or lavender, you want to use younger sprigs that aren’t as dry. You also want to dry and press them for about a week before you use them. Then dip them in wax and adhere them to the side of the jar away from the flame if you are going to use them

Yoli Mtz yes you can remove it, but if you don’t after the candle melts, the flower will sink. :)

What brand / number soy wax do you use? I have never seen so many different opinions about soy wax type for containers?! I got help from Etsy for my logo and my clear logo labels are on the way! I will be gifting my candles to friends and relatives. Beautiful job, Ladybug! 💗✨

Hiya, I love your video. I make candles. I have my own little candle business now. I use Amethysts, but, usually just on top, with some dried Lavender flowers. Do you sell your candles? I tell my customers who purchase the embellished candles, to remove the dried flowers before lighting the candle, bc its a fire hazard. I dont want to be sued. Real crystals cant catch fire, but fake, glass crystals can get extremely hot and be a danger.. what is your thought about this please?

As an experienced candle maker, you made the number one fire hazard mistake. Never put flowers on top or in a candle. Unless you can absolutely keep it away from the flames. Actually by law, this is illegal. So to see your flower sit so close to the wick scares me. There are measurements to weighing out wax as well as the fragrance and it’s not by drops.

this has to be the worst tutorial ever, pla tell us why you want to burn down the house? why even make this video? Like many others in the comments said, DONT DO THIS! It really scares me that ppl a watching this and thinks this is a good idea.
