Very cool! We just moved to the mountains and this would be a great addition to our cottage. My husbands honey do list just grew. Hopefully I can get him to make it a two person project. Thanks for the idea!
Did you--or how did you de-burr the sharp edges? De we need a special 'de-burring tool'? Thanks, we'd like to try this but want to make sure the edges don't cut anyone!
I used a sanding flap disc on the angle grinder and it helped some - its definitely still sharp in places though. I would imagine a small sander on a dremmel would achieve better results but I think doing it this method will never be butter knife smooth.
