As a hairstylist can I just say that this is an amazing balayage for doing it yourself, I have yet to master the balayage but I have done this on myself a few years ago and it's actually a great method. Most hair stylists frown upon this but go girl if you got the skill the product doesn't matter!
So far I really like this Argan Life shampoo! For being sulfate free, you still get a nice lather and my hair feels very clean. I paired it with argan oil conditioner and my hair was so soft and shiny. This is great for a natural shampoo!
I watched like 10 videos and lots of googling on how to do your own balayage at home for like 2 hours with lots of "nopes" and almost changing my mind and your 14 minute video is what's making me go to the drugstore and dye my hair tonight. thank. you.
I've been dying my hair myself for 11 years and I'm going to try balayage today and I'm so scared 😂 you make it look effortless though and it looked gorgeous at the end! Wish me luck haha
Wow, that turned out amazing. I wish I was that good with hair at your age... I just want to add a couple things (sorry if they are really obvious): 1) Instead of rubbing the dye backwards with your hands pick up a tint brush from any beauty store they are like 2 bucks and save your hair from fraying in that fragile state. 2) Only buy a purple shampoo if your hair is brown/red/dark, if your hair is ashy or already a different blonde I would save the money. It wont hurt, but there won't be any warm tones to take out. 3) I WOULD wear both gloves just in case, I know it's being overly cautious but allergic reactions can happen (even if you haven't had them with dye before a new brand could) so having it on your hands would be much much worse than just your head, better be safe than sorry :)
Wow - the result was amazing! Totally didn't expect it to look that good. And you know what - I loved how simple your videos are. You kept it real, without the fancy showoffs, and pretentious high-maitenance irrelevancies. Keep these videos coming! Good job
This is so good! And you’re so sweet and detailed in you’re videos and took your time and wasn’t too fast 😭♥️ A+ thank you very much for posting this, I only have purple shampoo, developer, and the powder and I was gunna use my hands but didn’t know if that was okay lol first time dying my hair at home so let hope it turns out not too bad lol great video!😊♥️
Great job! Something I've used in the past as a toner instead of the purple shampoo is just a regular white shampoo with a itty bit of manic panic semi-permanent dye in either purple or blue (depending on if my hair pulls orange or yellow that time), and use that in place of your shampoo step! Leaves so much good moisture! (:
you seriously did a better, did i say better, i mean and INCREDIBLE job. I got this done at a salon and with a discount they charged me $200, not counting my tipping $40. I spent the whole day at the salon and I even missed my daughter's event. You did it for much, much less and in less time. I really wish I would have seen this video before. Plus yours looks natural, i wound up with a line across. Im coloring my hair this weekend, God willing, trying to correct the brassiness and bringing the intense yellow I got going down to a caramel tone. Thank you for this video.
It did. I couldnt do what you did because my hair was already bleached. But i did bring the yellow tones down and i used the ourple shampoo the way u showed. Tha k you again. Look forward to more videos from you
I have medium brown hair and I went to a salon for a balayage. They charged me $100 and barely lifted any color. They said I would have to come back again and would charge another $100. I tried this and it did not turn out bad! I will have to do it one more time for a brighter blonde! This has saved me so much!
I do the same thing:) and it really looks beautiful. I love just adding little pieces one at a time over multiple bleaching sessions. It reallly adds demention and looks more natural as oppose to just bleaching all of your hair at once. And allows the hair to remain healthy at the same time! Great video!
I watched a stylist do this and she said do the front first so that it’s brighter so you get a more sunkissed look. And always do your ends first because the top will develop faster.
thank you so much for this!! i was really scared to do it by myself so i was thinking about going to a solon but that’s sooo expensive! but after seeing this and how yours turned out i’m totally doing it by myself!
OMG I'm shocked!! It looks so fucking good!! 😍 Since last year I'm trying to be blonde and everytime when I go to the salon it's never perfect! Thanks for your tutorial I'm going to do the same now!
mindblowing...you took the balayage to the next level..i was pretty much scared of doing this by my own but after watching this video would preferably try doing this for sure..
I used this video last night to remind myself of tutorials I had seen before so I could ombre my own hair. This works GREAT with the whole finger method in order to make it look like a great fade. I love this look because unlike a full dye to the roots, when my hair grows, I don't have to worry about it looking funky and it always blends in even as it fades. I really appreciate the slow down and you going over what to do with fingers. I used a cool platinum tone and purple shampoo and conditioner, but it is still warmer than I would like. Is there a purple toner I can purchase (not a stylist, so no license here) to help cool this down? The purple shampoo isn't working.
I guess my hands are sensitive. I cannot personally do any hair dye bleach etc without gloves. I've done my hair many times to save money & have done it just like this and other ways too. It always turns out good. I'm glad yours have too. Good work 👏
What kind of camera do you use?? It looks so nice! And I really wanna do this to my hair, I used to highlight my hair with the same stuff back in 6th grade, but last time I tried it (7th grade, three years ago) my hair barely took to it at all. But I hope this works!
That looks amazing! i have blonde highlights but I had them done in February and they've kinda faded so my mum is going to put more into it sometime next week and I'm going to ask her if she can do this because the outcome looks amazing! Thank you for the video
Girlpopglam uhh me and cousin just winged it. we took most of the bleach in the ends and then lightly brushed it up. and then we took foil and placed over where we took the bleach and waited a while.
hey girl this looks so good!! I was wanting to balayage my hair but my natural hair is just about the same color as your blonde pieces after you dyed them. do you think I should get a lighter shade of dye or did it only lighten your hair that much because you had darker hair to begin with?
If you're blonde going for darker balayage for the fall, do you need the purple shampoo? And do you just rinse it out without the conditioner that comes with the box? Thanks!
This is awesome! I just watched a different girl do this too. Only thing is she also did the top of the back of her head and I think that it looks more complete. Next time try it out ! And I think it would look even better !! Xoxo
Your hair turned out beautiful! I'm gonna dye my hair and was looking to do the same but honestly a little scared it won't come out as pretty. 😃 I was wondering I'm sorry if u said this in the video but did you end up practically putting bleach on the majority of the hair or did you leave a lot of it untouched?
