The smart way of doing this job is by leaving the front cover off and install the housing on whilst tuning the shaft to match the key .put the vane back then the front cover back on and bolt it down. That’s the sensible way of doing this job. But genius here didn’t even notice that the front cover is held by 5 bolts not 6.
@@giddenseuroshop458 Mine apparently, according to mechanic, doesn't create enough vacuum for waste gates to be controlled. Goes from 2 to 12 slowly from start up. Should be 20-25. Hope hes right
I would check for correct operation of the vacuum pump. In another comment you mention that it sounds like a pulley. You could remove the serpentine belt and the a/c belt turn it on and re-check for noise. Hopefully that helps.
