Great tutorial. I made the mistake on my first one wherein my pockets bags are upside down, but still functioning pockets. Reason not to sew while tired.. lol. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks you for this!! I made one and made it partially lined. One question I had, my front doesn’t fit as well as the rest, how can you make the front a little bigger?
If it’s too short - lengthen along the double lines (lengthen/shorten) lines but you mus do the same in the back - if it’s not wide enough a next size up. You can always bring the back in with a slash/spread center back. Hope this helps

Could you explain how to sew the sleeve bands to the bottom of the sleeves? The instructions from the pattern a little confusing. I'm making mine with a lining, so maybe it's sewn differently without the lining.

Hi, I am a beginner and was making a lined bomber jacket from another youtube video and the jacket turned out horrendous. I was very discouraged until I ran across your video for an unlined bomber jacket and decided to try it again. I have one question...is the gathering stitch at the bottom of the jacket necessary since we stretch the rib knit as we pin it to the jacket bottom?
TaDarling1 not necessary if the knit has a nice stretch - it will gather the jacket fabric naturally. Be sure to pin the knit and fabric evenly so your gathers will be even. Hope this helps.

Autumn Boren too funny! we just did it last weekend at Topstitch Studio in Atlanta. Same as putting in a lining and using a double pull zipper. Must keep one side of the collar open to do all finishing and Hand stitch it closes at the end. Maybe I will do a tutorial on a reversible jacket next time. Thoughts?
