Hey did you blowdry your hair before you did this? And did you buy 8 packages of the 5 pieces of hair extensions if that makes sense so it would've been like $200
Tbh if you have a really good fabric steamer... the results are better than dipping in boiling water, and at least for me, those random kinks just melt away AND the hair is dry faster. But key thing, the fabric steamer *has* to get super hot... a cheap one won't work.
Omg - rubber band method is GENIUS!! I wish this video came out before I just did my box braids for the first time ever 😂 it makes them look so much neater. Definately a life hack!
you can always just say it's a style choice lmao :) i did bantu knots for the first time a few weeks back for a friend's show, and my parting was....it was bad lol, but it looked like it was intentional so i just rolled with it. let's just say we're going for a boho style lol
Maybe next time when you do braids, you could split the extension hair into three pieces rather than using your hair as the third piece. This might help with a smoother, neater braid because you wouldn't need to separate in the middle of the braid and alter the flow
The way you said to do it is really the way it's supposed to be done. But Jade said this was low tension. When you do it the right way the weight of the extra hair pulls your hair down. This way the rubber band keeps the hair from being weighed down.
Your videos have become my go to on how to style/take care of my hair and you have basically saved me. I'm so glad I found your channel and I'd love to see your deep conditioning routine.
@@Tinag6451 I mean I'm not surprised..she is very white passing and her hair really dont look like it needs braids and anyway...not tryna be rude but she also used rubber bands too tight for protection.
Absolutely love this!!!! ❤ I'm def trying this next!!! I'm a total DIY-er so anything to help save me money I'm there! I saved myself tons of money doing my own nails! No more $70 a month spent for me!!!!
this method seems so much easier than just braiding it in!! and I feel like it would work on all hair types, thank you so much for this video, very informative😘😘😘👏👏👏
I did the big chop & im wanting braids but I do not wanna pay someone $145 to do it 🙄 I've been braiding since 3rd but have yet to try this. This was so helpful. 😩😩😩😩😍😘 love the green ends by the way.
Cara Lou if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for braids, call in to a cosmetology school to see if they have people that are good at them. You never know what type of talent you'll find in some schools! :)
farha cameron I be exhausted just from washing mine. I have had my hair braided two times in the past two months. As long as my friend is in town she will do my box braids. I am so thankful.
try stretching the ends of the hair more before braiding, and also try to braid a bit tighter at the ends. this will keep the ends together. but i lovvveeeeeee the braids and this color !!
i have a similar hair type and think these braids are so beautiful!! i really want to try this but i'm not black, i was just wondering if that was alright? x
It looks soo good 🔥What are your experiences with breakage caused by the rubber bands? How to take care, with oil or take the braids out after short time
Thank you so much for the video, it was really helpful. It's my first time trying to install box braids myself (or anyone) and this method is so much easier and faster than the "normal" method. I just tried a couple braids and I'm happy with the result, let's how it'll look like when I'm done with all my hair. Again, thank you. :)
Hey I’m a new sub and I already love your videos! This video of box braiding if by far my favorite because you gave a lot of details and it was really helpful!😁
Cute tutorial! Another option for those who are not fond of the rubber band, is to box braid your natural hair first prior to adding the extensions. It adds extra protection and lasts longer.
I love how this came out, I purchased the same exact hair on amazon. I just wouldn’t do the rubber band method because that will make my hair fall out.
*Hey, im 13, asian, grade 7 and gonna try this! Lets just hope i dont get killed in school and my hair doesnt rip out! YAY, ALSO GOOD LUCK TO YALL WHO GONNA TRY THIS!♡*
- Great video, Jade! I would love to see a tutorial on the braided style you had a few months ago; the side braids. It would be very helpful to see how you braid the extra hair in for more length. Thank you!
Love the look. I tried the rubber band method did not like it for 1 reason ONLY, whatever chemicals on it made my scalp itch like crazy had to cut out all the rubber bands. Hair still looks good just a little loose at the roots. Still a good method to help beginners and for large braids
Omg thank you!! Can't wait to try this myself! I do have a question; did you use a particular method to section your hair?? I would've liked to see a little more info on how you did this!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO GORGEOUS IT REALLY HELPED!!! I’m putting box braids in my hair for the first ever time soon and i want them to turn out like this. How many braids did you put in your head altogether? 💗 please respond. Thank you so much!!
I've been watching you for years and still can't get over how beautiful you are!!! Inside and out! And you can literally pull off any hair style, it don't make no sense! Lmao 💕
These came out great. I've never heard of steam being used for the ends. Dip them in boiling water dry them off then dip again. I use the flat iron technique too. Ppl just need to be very careful and not burn the braid off it has to be on low. So if you can its better to just boil them when you have this many.
