I am a turtle in a 90 gallon tank, but I feel like he would be so much happier and a larger space. we have a few garden beds that need to be redone in our backyard and I figured while doing that I could possibly build an elevated pond and this is the best video I’ve seen so far. Thank you.

I'm definitely curious about how you'll set up the filtration! Also, is there a way to drain it to do a full-pond clean, or will that not be necessary?
Well this was an inspiring little build 🙂 I'd love to give my pair a bigger enclosure, I just use a giant tub, never thought about building with a pond liner before, nice bit of dumpster diving finding all the lumber 👍😁 great to see you moving on Dan, pim sure your little turts 🐢🐢🐢will love their new home

Your concrete already has stress cracks and you just added 2 tons on the very edge of it. I strongly suggest you move it to the ground next to your concrete pad.
This was so helpful I have two big girls and one king yellow bellys I've had them for 6 years and was always nervous keeping them outside now I'm more confident my children will be safe 😂😎🐢

Would plexiglass work on the sides? I love watching my girl in her aquarium and watching her sleep, dig etc. and she interacts with me through the glass.
Your next big adventure will be building a house or getting another house when you get older and you build the house around the turtle pond that should be your next adventure. When you hit your 40s 50s I would love to see that I bet you could do it no problem.
hey, question I am trying to do something similar to your build I have a tank already built up now I'm wondering what if I need a basking spot. I have red-eared sliders and I was wondering if I could do something similar to yours or if would i need to make it slightly different. For example if i needed a basking spot or more land for the red-eared sliders

How come the wire lid you put on top the hinges don't match up on both tops? It looks like one side does but the other side doesn't. You mentioned you did this on the cheap, maybe that is why.
I have a question about my alligator snapping turtle. He. Has not ate? Since the end of November hes still active pretty energetic sometimes going around the aquarium but still has not tried to. Can you please help you sound very knowledgeable? I've had turtles all my life and I've never had this issue.
