As a homeowner we’re constantly maintaining our house and I want to get this project done before the snow hits.
every day after work or on the weekends I’ve been trying to put a little bit of effort out on the deck.
we’ve removed all of the lights that we used to have hanging there there were some pillars that I’ll be showing you that I cut down and I have been sanding down the entire deck.
there was a board that was well stabbing people because it kept peeling up and leaving very sharp angles. He had to go but I wasn’t about to use a regular crowbar to do so.
I knew my dad had this awesome crowbar by @crescent_tool that was going to be able to lift that board out without damaging the others.
Follow along to see what else I’ve done to prep the deck for stain.

Bill Bar. It is adjustable! I’m using one now. This 60 something woman had fun with it. I threw the crow bar and deck wrecker To the side. Crow bar did well with some nail removal. Worth every penny!

What about removing nails from old deck lumber that has already been removed? I've got a pile of lumber and I need to get the nails out so I can sort through what lumber is salvageable. Thank you.

There’s an air tool that will shoot the nails right out. I think they still have on Amazon. I wish I knew the exact tool name, but I would look up air nail removal gun

Cresent has a nail puller. You do it from the back and pull them through the board. Not bad splintering. I used this with knotty pinenpaneling. It was the ticket.

@@nightcarverdesigns I mean the board itself. Start on one end and work down so there’s leverage, it’s faster and easier

@@k.d.140I removed with screws and those that I could not get out this pulls the board up and I just cut the screws. I'm sure (hope) you have a tool to do that. Simple and easy.
