My man that looks absolutely ridiculous and I love it. Not what I’d do to my own car but if I saw you out in that I’d have a hard time wiping the smile off my face.
I like how you took your time and did everything right, didn't scrimp on things or take shortcuts. But I hate how it looks on the car. Doesn't jibe at all with the lines of the car. Looks like a squared off Frankenstein piece on a rounded smooth body. Diffusers are supposed to HELP with aerodynamics, not cause problems with them. That will cause a lot of co-eff drag. Most people over build them, though. So you're pretty much par for the course. Think about it like this, when you look at Hyper and Super cars, they don't have gigantic things that stick way out on them. They blend these kind of parts with the aerodynamics of the body shape. Making it fit in and look factory is the trick... But I still enjoyed the vid. And IF you like it, that's really all that matters.
Been following the build since the beginning and it’s amazing! Do you ever think you’ll end up installing a wing or keeping the V2 ducktail. Just curious, love the V2 ducktail btw!
Personally not a massive fan as i dont think it really matches the simplistic style of the body but i can appreciate the workmanship done and would look great just not on this car. But at the end of the day its not my car and if it makes you happy who am i to judge. Great build 😁
I did not make my aero pieces for looks - but for functionality. The car is only 50% done, so judging the overall build at this state makes zero sense.
Yeah, I totally agree. It doesn't take a genius or engineer to see how much drag that thing is going to cause. But everyone on YT overbuilds them. They need to learn to blend these kinds of pieces, with the lines of the car. They it will fit seamlessly in and look great.
@@OMGBUILDS Then there are an ocean of problems here. IF you had made it for looks, then cool. To each their own. But this will NOT function as intended, unless the intention is to cause a good bit of drag.
It's got stretched tires I don't think the angle of the diffuser matters here. But I also don't think many people here understand the function of a diffuser
MASCUNANA BEAR I watched the video and then skipped back through it and I must be missing something because I didn’t hear the name of the material or see how you bent the side fins
Very inspiring, watching your crafts work had inspired me to rebuild the aero on my mr2... except that I don’t drive it anymore and I’m selling it, otherwise, I would totally rebuild all the aero with your tricks and tips. Maybe my next JDM car
Why does everyone think this is going to cause more drag? He’s completely correct about diffuser angle so he’s probably not going to have issues with stalling that’s fine, It’s cleaning up the airflow from under the car expanding it and making a low pressure zone sucking the car down while also saving the parachute effect the stock miata rear bumper has… In concept this all seems completely sound, yes it’s huge but that seems to be the point? Don’t get me wrong this car will be heavily rear biased for aero even with the front downforce but cool, it’s a fun show car but this should absolutely work…
I design things in the middle, my aero kit is actually functional and really helps with stability but I design it for looks too. But I do love the designs MASCUNNANA BEAR comes up with that are off the chart!
@@OMGBUILDS I have to admit I didnt pay too much attention to the series but this looks like a show car. Im sure you know more about the project more than me though lol
@@OMGBUILDS That's ironic, seeing as you went for the rocket bunny kit and run -85 offset stancebro wheel setup. I can fit 285s under my 40mm Autokonexion flares, which is bigger than any Miata would ever need.
@@OMGBUILDS I think you are missing the point of each of these comments... The point is, If you truly were going for functionality, then you would NOT have over-built it for that size vehicle, and it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. The guys making these comments, including myself, are not trying to be offensive. We all enjoyed the vid. But we see problems with the functionality of it, and that is the reason for the comments, not just how it looks. Diffusers are NOT bigger than the cars they are on, unless someone is out to grab a bunch of random attention. Functional diffusers are usually less than 70% of the width of the rear of the car. The idea is to channel air from under the car, not the sides of the car. You want to join that underneath air with the air from over the car. Yours will not do that at all... Again, we aren't trying to be offensive. Just trying to give you some food for thought.
