When planning a project on your home it is imperative to hire industry professionals as to not devalue your home and property. The electrical cables, inadequate handrail, roof and skylight that will leak and cause serious damage to this home are all disastrous.
This home owner obviously thought added DIY skylights was going to save them money. The problem is they have all leaked causing damage to the home and have devalued the home because my client has to replace and fix the roof properly.
Always hire professionals

Wow, that small skylight has a piece of glass glued to the top of it. That deck and the wires at head level, what could possibly go wrong?

The owner did there best to paint and cover up the moisture damage Dave Millman but, when I found the source I knew exactly where to look. They’re trying to sell the place in July because I’m sure in the rainy season the water is pouring in from all areas and they don’t want to go back and pay to fix it properly now. I instructed my clients not to buy it. Thanks for following my video!

Hi Tom, I have an unrelated situation and hope you can offer some guidance & direction: I have a 2 story home. There’s a water leak in the garage ceiling. The ceiling has what looks like black mold. The baseboard under the window, in the room above the leak, is swollen. Who would you suggest I call, to start evaluation and then repair of this issue? I’m really not sure where to start. Last, I’m seeing black dust on the vents and ceiling around the vents of all rooms of the second floor. Do I assume this is mold?

Honestly though, who cares if the skylights are ugly. If they don't leak and work at intended, sounds like a good job to me.
