I saw a window where the Lady used a window cling of Santa looking through the glass. You have small children, bet they'd love one done like that! This is very cute.
I couldn't agree more with you, Janet Moore!! Everytime I see Katelyn's diys I just want to have all of them lol!!!. It is a very huge inspiration for me!! thank you Katelyn!
Oftentimes you can find items elsewhere that work @ least as well as DT items & they cost less. Even if you are saving only pennies per item, with as many items as we us for projects, it adds up quickly. No need to apologize for doing something smarter. I love the window. It really is beautiful.
Katelyn, hi sweetheart & 1st off thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with all of us! 😊❤ You are soooooooo talented & so adorably beautiful girl! I wouldn't change a thing on your Christmas window & I'm so inspired, I'm definitely doing this!!!! My husband & I love love farmhouse style anything, including the house lol👍 & I just wanted to say, you have semi- new subscribers, please don't change what you create ( that's why we watch) 🤗 & your just a doll! God bless you & your work. Much love:)
So glad to see your happy face today. I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed evening. 😘❤️🤗🙏🏻☃️🎁🎄🤶🏼🎅🏻🦌❄️✨
Honey ignore the nasty people, they all have nothing better in life to do but try to make others unhappy like they are! We are all so blessed and thankful to have you on RU-vid to so us how to make all your beautiful creations! Hugs Leanne ❤️
Omgosh! Love, love, love!!! This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing!! Like others have also said, I certainly don’t mind that you use things from places other than DT. I know I personally do not shop strictly at DT, and you’re so right about quality of certain things from there, especially the frames. I’ve said this before, but you are my absolute favorite person for DIYs!! Thank you for all you show us!💜
Thank you so much Katelyn for bringing us so much beautiful things on your site thank you for taking the time to make the videos and put everything together remember this is your Channel always follow your heart and remember when you working with your hands you always have peace within your heart.
Such a adorable little window. Thank you kindly for sharing this. I really enjoying watching you make your crafts. Your very talented. Blessings Katelyn 💕
This is really clever I love making your project. Just for future projects for that real wood look go to the Home Depot paint section get a 3 pack of long wood paint sticks. They are only 98 cents for a 3 pack and once you cut the handle end off are about 17 1/4 long and 1/4 inch thick. They also sell I think an 8 pack of shorter sticks for the same price. They do have measure lines on one side that can be sanded and stained for a wood grain look or painted over. Keep the projects coming!!!
My dad suggested I use paint sticks for a different project I was working on, and I remember at that time noticing a bag at Walmart, but I can't remember price. If I was already at Home Depot, I'd get an 8' furring strip ($1.14) here, and have them cut it to save me a step, but definitely paint sticks are nice to have on hand for convenience. :)
Love it so much. It's beautiful. Great idea. I love your sweet voice and how you present your content. You are definitely in my top 5 "RU-vidrs" to follow.
Awesome DIY and it looks high end!! I like when you combine items from DT AND other stores! It gives us all more options and is great information sharing! Keep it up!
Hey LadyBug!!!! You use what you want, this is YOUR channel, and you always make beautiful and adorable looking projects!!!!! Honestly, I've stopped purchasing my diy frames from $tree they kept cracking either the glass or the "wood"... So, i will either purchase them at DG, walmart or at a goodwill type store!!!! Great video!!!! Big thumbs up!!!!!!
@@janitplanet I'm sorry!! I would take it back and exchange it, i just had a glass shadow box type thingie crack on me just by removing the plastic! It's goin back....not to sound petty, but geez if i had exchanged all those prior like atleast 8 that would have saved me 8.88$... that add's up.... So, from now on anything that breaks or malfunctions is goin back.... But, yes, i agree i love those other places too....i lucked up the other day at a thrift store i got a huge chalkboard thingie...1$!!! I just redid it today it had a green background i used white chalk paint and the border which is SOLID wood i painted with ink colored chalk paint... Got like 2 wooden shelves 2$ each...a letter/mail holder medium size (wall hanging type) real wood with metal embellishments think it was 1$ omg and a pack of new Christmas cookie cutters .50 cents 😁🤶🎅
@@tonyarhembree-blue6872 You had some great finds, and that chalkboard sounds amazing! I get what you're saying about exchanging because broken, flimsy things really add up. Thankfully my glass that broke hadn't been put to use yet, but if I did a beautiful project like this, and then it broke, it would be frustrating to have to redo it. I just today found 2 matching super sturdy 11×14 frames for $1.99 each at a thrift store. I saw 2 larger frames for $2.99 each that I wish I'd grabbed too.
I love your beautiful little window, Katelyn! It came out absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for always bringing us such gorgeous and inspiring projects. I look forward to each and every one! Happy Holidays! Kris P
I just watch this video and I am going to be making this window for 2 of my niece's and myself for myself for Christmas 2020, My husband really liked it and agreed that this was a must have in our Christmas decor. Thank you again for another wonderful DIY decor. Your the best.
It should totally be up to you, even if you use zero % that would be fine with me. You don’t owe any of us an explanation. You are the designer, do what you want - to achieve your vision. Thanks for the vids, they are awesome. Lori
This project is gorgeous Katelyn and I love everything about it. Thank you for being such a constant source of inspiration for so many of us. I hope you have a wonderful week. 🤗 #kindnessmatters
I don't know if you're planning on doing more christmas diy but I'd love to see your take on gingerbread or candyland theme decor. Your creativity is on point!
This looks stunning! I agree that sometimes mixing in non Dollar Tree items is the best way to go - either for a better end result, or because the items are cheaper elsewhere, and Walmart is just as accessible to most people. If anyone has a Home Depot nearby, one 8 ft. furring strip (enough for whole project) is $1.14 where I live, (compare to 8 DT rulers), plus they will cut it for free ( usually 12 free cuts), so if you calculate your measurements right and subtract for width of strip, you won't have to cut anything! While u r there, have some extra furring strips cut plus maybe a thin sheet of underlayment board or even plywood for future signs, and you will see that even that typically comes out cheaper than reusing a DT sign (although admittedly not as convenient).
You are a wonderful designer---I have always wanted to have a window and now I'm willing to try one thanks to you--you solved all the problems and it looks great to me!!!
That is beautiful!!! Just so you know. I have yet to watch a dollar tree video where everything in it is actually from there. So your good honey. No worries. Walmart and other place are sometimes cheaper then dollar tree. You keep doin you! Love your work!
, I'm SO glad you used items to make this look a high quality! I appreciate you keeping it affordable even if you don't get everything from the dollar tree.
This project looks so expensive and I think it’s all the details and the quality of your work which btw is outstanding. You do Dollar Tree proud with the items you use. ❄️
Great job as usual! I am going to try this one. I have old trim in the garage in going to use. Nothing wrong with going to Home Depot or Lowe’s either, especially for people with no tools. They cut your pieces for you!! Just don’t forget your measurements and manners!
Very pretty! I just don't get all the pressure to use ONLY Dollar Tree supplies. I love the concept of low-cost or ingenious hacks. You always nail that. Ignore the negative nellies and celebrate all of us who love your ideas!! :)
This is gorgeous!❤️ You could try using acrylic white paint and splatter with hitting a paint brush on your hand and it will throw spots for your fake snow look on the backside.
Hi Katelyn I Love, Love, Love your window. It turned out Absolutely Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. So until next time God Bless you and have a Blessed Evening.
I have made so many of your craft ideas for my new apartment and I absolutely love how they all come out! my fiancé may go crazy when I tell him I have a new one to do! LOL cant wait to see more of your ideas!
