What's going on everybody Rob here with a little video on DIY dryer vent install. This is an of freshly remodeled room. We are relocating where the dryer is going to be so I have to drill through the walls to the exterior in order to put the new dryer vent in. We did purchase a really sturdy dryer vent because we expect this to be there the rest of the life that we are here at this house. This dryer vent is a nice dryer vent and you have to make sure you have the seem of the dryer vent facing upward therefore in the condensation in the pipe does not drip onto the floor or the studs. I had to predrill a hole through the wall to find out and make sure I was not cannot be in the way of any studs. I actually marked the floor where the studs were before predrilled the hole in the wall in order for me to know I had a solid 4 inches that I could cut a circle clear through. If you do not know where the studs are before use a stud finder to find out where you will have your 4 inch gap to be able to drill through without hitting any studs behind the wall. It is very easy to put one of these and you just gotta make sure you do not hit any studs or if you do not have any electrical lines or water lines. You too can do a dryer vent install. I did have to make a custom length to run from the dryer to this pipe that will be the next video.
