For a stronger trellis, I put the horizontal lines in first and then wrap the vertical lines around them once at each intersection as I go. It's more time consuming, but in a windy area like I have it's not a bad idea.

I absolutely am so happy I found your channel. I made some beds like this in my customers raised garden boxes I made a few yrs back I'm from the US hope the virus is good there. Not so good here. I'll be waiting for new videos loved it💕

So much good in this video, I just want to bring up the use of hugelkultur with the dead branches and fusarium and avoiding certain plants if possible (Alder was the culprit of the fungus source and wasn't showing any exterior signs of colonizing). Only to highlight that an organic farm near my temperate climate had an outbreak of fusarium/root rot and might be on the brink of losing their business and was pretty emotional to see go down, so if it's a known issue in your area I have started practicing using hydrogen peroxide(which will kill beneficial bacteria in the process) just to ward off any mycotoxins and disruptive fungi in my area. Otherwise you're so on point with practices and projects, and great ideas. Always looking forward to the next one!

I wish i could drive! I'd be straight down to B&Q to get the materials to make this!. I LOVE this idea so much, it would make my garden so beautiful to look at. Sadly all i can do is use bamboo and zip ties, as i can't saw or anything due to health issues :(

What kind of wood did you use? I've used Cedar in the past because it is naturally rot resistant, but I'm not sure I can find thin cedar for the frame.

I have slow worms, hedgehogs & lots of wildlife in my very large back garden & have been fighting my landlords for almost two decades because they want it manicured. I think I'll set aside part of my garden to do some of these projects, see what they have to say about that?

where do you get leaves and small branches from?

Hi! How do you feel about oak branches and oak leaves in the bottom of your beds or in compost? I’ve read that they take longer to break down. And I’ve noticed that the rain water I collect close to the oak trees is pretty dark brown, I’m assuming its from the tannins? But haven’t noticed any ill effects from watering with it. I haven’t used it on my veggies tho. Thanks!

I’ve never used oat but make sure not to use black walnuts as they could be an issue due to their sprouting inhibit properties. If the water is dark close to the branches it’s normal but I don’t see why they should be an issue in the garden 😊
