I truly believe this is actually one of the best and most useful diy channels on RU-vid. Everyone else does the same diy projects over and over finally there is someone who does something different
AbbyPineapple I strive to be someone who doesn't just put a patch on a hat, but I have zero sewing skills.. Actually a little, I'm just really bad at it.
@@Shmoxd Can I stitch or make a patch on this material of hat? it's a thin, performance hat: melin.com/collections/shop-all-hats/products/trenches-icon-hla-hydro-mens-waterproof-snapback-hat?variant=39312269377632
There's something special about you, the fact that you don't just take plain ready-to-go hats but you take those who need to be seam-ripped and bleached, the fact that you make me wanna try to embroider again after my last attempt in 5th grade, the fact that you put hidden alt-j in the background, I'm sorry I can't let go my crush on you ;P
I HAVE BEEN SOAKING UP EMBROIDERY INFOR LIKE CRAZY FOR THE PAST MONTH AND NOBODY HAS ACTUALLY SHARED A SECURE WAY TO END THE THREAD?!!? this is amazing THANKU
Recently my grandfather passed away and my grandma gave my dad all the dad hats he had,(like a bag full of them)some are new and some he has worn out a lot. My dad let me pick out which ones I wanted, and there's a couple that have the most random things on them that I wanted to see if I could change and I was thinking of stitching something cool on them like adding pins and stuff. So then I started to look through RU-vid to find out how to embroider and found your channel on the video where you make a pizza patch(which was really helpful btw~) and I actually finished a patch last night and was thinking of the next thing I wanted to do and thought of the dad hats. But didn't know where to start...Then you uploaded this video and it gave me a good idea of what I want to do with some of the hats~ I just wanted to say thank you for teaching me the ropes of embroidery and will tell my friends to check you out 👍🏼
2424JoJo is it a grandfather thing? I can relate to your story so much it's not even funny. My grandfather left back a whole bag of caps as well. I guess I could try embroidering on one. He was a really creative inventor and I'm sure he would be happy that I found a creative way to repurpose them
And here I was, wishing so bad that you had a video on embroidering hats because I needed to figure that shit out. Turns out you're the only youtuber I've found that hand embroiders the hats and also isn't his first time embroidering. I ended up figuring it out on my own but it's exactly how you would do it, so thank you :D
I heard you speaking on your sponsor and how they help with drinking water in south. Please please ask them about Flint Michigan. I'm from a city right outside of detroit so it doesn't affect me but everyone in flint MICHIGAN their water is like poison. crazy that someone in america cannot have water. People in flint haven't had water for a while ): just maybe mention to your sponsor about flint?? thanks guy
Ripping the stitches out of an old hat is such a great idea- it's really hard for me to find plain hats that I like, but there are so many with things already on them that I actually like (minus the pattern). Plus, it's great for the environment to repurpose old items! Thanks for the inspiration, this was a great video :)
I love how you had breeze blocks in the back ground!! And the terms “finger condoms” gave me a good laugh!!! I love your channel!! So helpful and you are amazing!! You are the best!!!😊
I always had an interest for needle crafts and tried embroidery and cross-stiching for a while but stopped because everyone would say that its wasn't "manly" haha but honestly you make it look so dope! Looks like I gatta find all my old materials again!!!
As always, super impressed! Every time I watch your vids I feel inspired to create! Also totally loving embroidery! And the Alt-J is a nice touch, Breezeblocks is mine and my boyfriend's song 😁😁
Okay, I don’t get how your channel isn’t super popular. Your voice over is so chill and not annoying at all compared to the other chirpy over the top diy-ers. You are obviously very creative, and you make it seem so easy. On top of that your editing is great and your videos are just fun to watch all ‘round. Keep doing what you are doing! just subscribed. :)
i made an embroidered shiny heracross for my then-boyfriend (now husband) in highschool...only time i'd ever embroidered and i just kind of went for it lol but i just found your channel and i love all the videos! your designs are cool and your vids are super helpful, making me want to make some more pieces!
When I stumbled across your channel I felt like I found a treasure I was afraid to do embroidery, because of the previous failures, but your videos are so easy to understand and inspiring that I am going to give it a try and start to do embroidery aswell Thank you for your videos :3 Good luck with everything you do
Omg I'm surprised you ACTUALLY embroidered the rose, I honestly thought you had purchased a iron on patch from eBay or something lol you earned a sub ✨🔥
You are so awesome!!! I’ve wanted to try embroidery, but I’ve been so discouraged from my childhood memories of an old man who failed to teach me to do embroidery and yelled at me😅😓. Seeing your tips and techniques it gave me peace of mind and a bit of confidence. Thank you man
I hope this is not a redundant question but do you use embroidery needles for this?? They look really big in diameter. You're really good! I need some items that no one makes and it looks like I'll have to start hand making stuff because I can't afford a fancy embroidery machine.
Shmoxd the bigger needle makes a bigger hole, so the thread doesn't get frayed from being pulled through the fabric :) Also - masking tape on the jaws of the pliers prevents scratching the needle :)
i was thinking about doing a hat for myself so its nice to see one done beforehand by someone else to see how it may look! thanks for this awesome tutorial
"finger condoms" Anyways, this video is amazing! I'm *definitely* going to try it! I've always wanted to learn but was uninspired... Then I saw this video... Now I know what to do. Thank you!
