I especially love that the fluting brought the drawers forward more so they are more even with the edges. It looked bad before, with the framing sticking out so far from the drawers.

I have to admit, I held my breath when you were drilling into the fluted surface of the first drawer! I didn't want anything to go wrong because this dresser looks so good with the fluted fronts! I love the paint color you used! Great job on this one!!! ❤

A absolute Hit !! This Dresser is now more than up to date and is looking magnificent ! Here in Europe it is very trendy and here in The Netherlands lots of furniture is sold with this Flute design, so this would sell very easy. Katie….this is a wonderful idea…love the finished look! FYI….a countersink tool would have worked good to ‘seat’ the edge of your knob into the fluting…but it still turned out beautifully. Great job young lady. Happy refinishing!!!

I wasn’t so sure about just the single knob, but the drawers are narrow enough that is the perfect solution. I also like that the original drawers were recessed just the right depth to allow for the fluting to be flush with the case. Magic!! A really gorgeous piece.

Wow! Absolutely beautiful! Great job! At first I thought the fluted material seemed really thick for drawers. But they look fantastic. Why did I doubt? 😊 It looks like the drawers were recessed from the frame exactly the right amount so with the fluting they are flush with the sides. 😯

That was very visionary of you, Katie. That will be a popular look for quite a while. Those first knobs you were trying out were too small. The larger globe knob, centered one per drawer is perfect.
