As long as YOU are happy with this chair, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! A fur covered chair isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I have to say that it turned out beautifully!! I know that upholstery is NOT the easiest thing to do, and you made it look effortless with this chair! Well done!!! Enjoy your NEW chair!!! Cheers from Virginia, USA! 🇺🇸
It is a beautiful makeover! One of my favorite parts of the video was hearing your excitement about how much you loved how it turned out. Great work and great perspective!
I love that chair. The wood and style are so beautiful. Love the fur. Im a firm believer in doing whatever makes you happy, especially when it’s for you. You always do beautiful work.
I LOVE what you did with this chair and that you have created a new piece by refreshing it and its structure. Too often folks just sand and paint but don’t reinforce or strengthen or even revisit how older furniture is constructed. And the stamp is fabulous!
What I love about you is that you're true to yourself, no matter what others may say. That was true of the little pink table (LOVE!) and as true here, too. This little treasure is fabulous.
Hey!!! Now that is cool! This shows how broad your talents really are. You don’t stay in one lane. You look at the piece, you find it’s soul, and bring it to life. Well Done! ❤❤
Omg I love it! It doesn't bring to mind the fur trade. Rather it almost makes me think that there is a species of big soft lovable forest chairs who want you to sit in them so they can give you a big hug!❤😊
At first I was leaning towards the fabric but after the darker wood finish and the fur addition I became a fur fan! Also, the background music for this episode was really nice (matched the project!).
I would never have even glanced at the faux fur fabric, it definitely takes vision. I loved the way it turned out, a really fun piece. Great job, as usual.
I know some people think maple is a bit boring, but I've always liked its smooth grain and the birds eye markings, when they happen, are so interesting. This is a really very attractive and fun make-over for this chair, which has probably been working hard since the 70s, if that original upholstery fabric is any indication!
What a cute little chair! I love the lines/style of it. Definitely a find! Love the way it turned out --- the stain color and satin fabric are perfect! The faux fur is so fun! ❤
Great makeover. The wood is beautiful, and I the dark stain looks great. It gives the chair more gravitas than it would have had with a blonder stain. I'm not a fan of the fabric choice, but it's not going in my bedroom. Thanks for the great step by step tutorial! Hope you have some cozy moments in your chair this fall and winter.
My wife and I have fur rugs like this on our theatre chairs in our small media room and the dog has fur as the top part of her bedding. With dark furniture and we love it. In the right circumstances it looks great.
I love it! It looks so cozy! I love the dark stain as well. I have a MCM chair I got at a thrift store like 20 years ago. I recovered the seat but haven't refinished the wood surfaces. I need to do that. Thanks for the inspiration.
That maple is gorgeous! My mother loved modern/contemporary furniture, and that chair reminds me of some of her 1960s/1070s chairs. Black and chartreuse were the favorite color combo! I admire how you "get up close and personal" with the furniture you're working on. The devil is in the details, but so is salvation!
I love the fur. You did a fantastic job on this chair. Love the stain choice with your fur.. I think its beautiful! Actually gave me insoration for a chaircim wanting to redo. Thanx!
This chair is definitely one of a kind! Glad you went with what makes your heart sing, and the dark wood tone looks stunning. To be honest, the lines on the chair are so good you could probably cover it with paper shopping bags & it would look chic.
