Make your own Custom front splitter. Adding weight to the rear made the front end feel light. We decided to try a front splitter. It will close off the gap behind the front fiberglass and provide downforce at speed. Since this car has a very rare body style we had to make it our selves.
It turned out pretty good and it doesn't hurt that it adds some weight to the front of the car.

The splitter looks really good for something made at home , can't wait to see how good it works.

Thanks. I like how it turned out. I need to clean it up a bit. I'll do that next time I take it off. Fortunately that part is eazy.

Great job! I love seeing how resourceful we can be in this hobby, as we don't always need to go out and buy the best most expensive tool to get a job done, too many times I hear people are scared to tackle a task due to not having the best tool for the job. Some of the best cuts I've made in aluminium have been made with wood cutting tools. I used a hand saw once to make a short 1 piece intake for a 16 valve VW engine out of the stock two piece intake. Cutting both down pieces with the hand saw the welder was so impressed with how straight a cut I had made, as it didn't even need to be ran on the belt sander to make it true before welding he couldn't believe that I used just a normal hand saw. You also don't need to buy a specialty part if you can start to think outside the box and produce a similar product yourself, although if you examine my builds you will see that sometimes I fail at this and should have just bought the part, but I did learn in the process so I can take that with me I guess.

Agreed, wood cutting tools work very well on aluminum. Probably should have used a wood blade on the skill saw.
