Following the replacement of the brake hoses on our Kia Sportage, it made perfect sense to also replace the brake fluid as well, since it was nearly 2 years old and we had already replaced some of it on the previous day when bleeding the new hoses.
The car takes DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid, with DOT4 being the best choice given its increased performance. We've used ATE Typ200 fluid, the same kind that we had used on the previous fluid change in 2021.
