The 1st. music reminds me of when I was a bus driver and the teens would make this horrible screaming noise when I asked them to pay. Good diy.

An occasional rap on the head of the bolt might have offered shock value to get hinge pin moving, and an acetylene torch for additional heat. Nice job making the pin press very strong.

Thats right, I saw another video with a selfmade tool for this particular job and the trick was hitting it on the head: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0PpUAJ_7Vgg.html (younger car though)

What I did with mine is used the yellow bottle if propane( it burns hotter), sprayed with wd40 a few times. After that I heated up the pins and got a hammer and punch and hit them from the bottom as they broke loose.

@ccarnutmichael - awesome thanks! in pt. 2 I made my own penetrating fluid, and I also used the MAP gas (yellow bottle). I normally start with propane, then progress to MAP gas before breaking out the torch. that way I can keep from getting things TOO hot...

14:24 Shouldn't you be heating the barrel instead of the pin? Heating the pin could only result in it expanding in the barrel.

Nice video looking for tips on same hinge pin problem, thanks. FYI sure a lot of misleading other videos out the. Get with it you tube removal of crap would help us all.

@PacificCityFishing Thanks for watching!! I ended up using a torch to get the hinges (not the pins) hot. that expanded them just enough to be able to use the tool to get them out. I was trying to avoid that so I do as little damage as possible, but they were so rusted in there I had to break out the big guns... Thanks again!!

Nice Video but the music is crappy and way too loud, I had to keep adjusting volume you spoke soft, and music was blaring.
